Midland Thread

I decided to change a couple of things about the ranking systems that we use. We now have a different system that uses a letter grade instead of a color grade. Check out the main page for more details, but it basically goes from SS down do E. SS being over a 90% win% to E being a 0%.

Results are going to look more like this from now on. Locally ranked players will be recognized with a number on stream matches and and their grade if they so choose, and anyone applicable in results threads will have a grade that reflects their win percentage before their name. It is something to work hard to show off, a good grade and high win percentage! Those are what will earn the # and HM spots in our region! We are quickly becoming competitive in the bigger MI scene!

Only another week or so until we up the requirements to qualify for the number ranks during the season. They will be 2 requirements, and then they will be upped again before the season's finale. These are the players in jeopardy, since they have only each been to one event. Skigh, Acro, Blanke, Dante, Lindor and Blayze. Hopefully we see you guys at some events very soon!

ANNOUNCING: Midland Melee Summer Championships!
NEXT QUALIFIER: Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Game's house

Spoiler: Midland Melee Summer Championships

With the 4th and final month of the Summer season in Midland Smash, comes an idea adopted from MLG. We will have FOUR top 8 brackets following up Round Robins, one per week over the next 4 weeks, and a Championship bracket (8 players) at the end of the month. Winners of each bracket are guaranteed a spot in the championship bracket, but can not play in a qualifier bracket once they have already qualified. 4 spots in the bracket will be determined by these qualifier brackets, and the remaining 4 spots will be earned in a pre-championship qualifying bracket the day of the championship. To restate this, 4 qualifying players, plus 4 players who qualify the day of. Dates are TBD as of right now, but we will straighten them out. We will likely poll players on facebook to get the best possible turnouts.

Mount Pleasant will host Smash at Landons place on Tuesday. 7:00 at 1222 Fairfield Drive Mount Pleasant. Call/text him at 9893301617 if you need directions. Round robin and 2 dollar bracket will be happening.
If your looking to car pool from Midland let me know as we plan on having a group riding together.

Definitely should limit the RRs to once every few weeks or something like that.

Hey smashers, not sure if you guys are following my Wave Race 64 conquest or not, but today I hit a milestone. I currently hold 4 of 8 standard Time Trial World Records, which are the hardest records to earn. That gives me 14 of 24 Time Trial records, and 4 of 5 championship records for a grand total of 18 of 29 records
