Ideas for Mewtwo

The forward Smash should be more powerful, but instead of shooting an oppenent in the usual method it should teleport them behind Mewtwo and let them shoot out in the opposite manner. That way his forward smash can have power, but because Mewtwo is not known for his KO prowess it has a drawback (that can be used as an advantage.)

Disable should have the same animation but also shut off a random A move. The oppenent cannot use that A move unless he dies or the move is used again on them (in which case they would get their old A move back and lose another one.

AND

Down B- Barrier: Nearly instaneous. A blue sphere surround Mewtwo. Swirling energy makes it appear different from a bubble shield. It can absorb 35% damage and prevent knockback from any absorbed attack. When the limit is reached, the shield shatters and his down B cannot be used until the next stock. This way Mewtwo can still be fairly light weight, but have a way to withstand attacks and counter. Even in the air.

Plus he should have some stat boosts such as speed. But I think he should still be light and have some problems KOing. But whatever the case, his air moves need help.

Mewtwo's moves are actually pretty good, and I hope they don't change much about it except remove some lag here and there, more range, more overall knockback and damage to the moves and Mewtwo would be pretty much fixed...

But OFCOARSE we Mewtwo lovers want MOAR!!!11

Since Sakurai owes us something, a kick arse character who's named Mewtwo in SSB! To actually make Mewtwo one of the best character in the game, he needs:

#1 !!!MOAR WEIGHT!!!
Speaks for itself. Mewtwo is just as light as Young Link while he's bigger than C.Falcon, who's alot harder to kill vertically than Mewtwo, who just dies TOO fast vertically... His recovery is actually very good, but ofcoarse there's egdeguarding... >_>

#2 !!!MOAR POWAAR!!!
Wasn't Mewtwo suposed to be one of, if not THE strongest Pokémon around? Okay, I've stated before that Mewtwo's moves need more damaging and knockback... But yeah, it's worth saying it again! :) Mewtwo is just THAT cool! Especially his Smashes need mayor buffing. His current Smashes are just... bad! His FSmash is a slightly better version of Mario's, but even though it's easier to hit people with, it's STILL weaker! MOAR POWAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!11one11

#3 !!!MOAR PSYCHIC SHIZNIT!!!
"Mewtwo's mental powers are now yours to command." That's the message you got when you unlocked Mewtwo right? Well, aside from his crap >B and his throws I don't really think Mewtwo's metal powers are used to their full potential. What would be nice, is if they made his >B ranged, and would give you an instant grab! Ideal mindgame move and very much suits his character! Also, his Uthrow might be the best in the game, but it still doesn't kill many characters under the 110%, so they may power it up a little. :)

#4 !!!MOA-...wait that isn't right LESS LAG!!!
Yup, the second time I repeat myself... But who cares? Ofcoarse we have L canceling, and Mewtwo's Aerials don't have too much lag but his tilts and sucky Smashes do... His running speed is actually fine with me, but his lag needs to be cutted.

And then, Mewtwo would be REALLY fixed and would finally be the character we hoped he was from right the beginning we unlocked him.
I figured I might as well quote this for the people that missed it, considering most of what's on this thread has been regurgitated over and over again.

I recently made a post about Mewtwo in my Live Journal.. rather than type it up again I'll just copy and paste it here.
Here are my Ideas for him..

"Behold my powers! I am the most powerful Pokémon in the world!"

I was thinking about how Mewtwo could be improved in Super Smash bros Brawl.

1.Make him heavier, but with the same fall speed. This way he isn't knocked off so easily by Pichu..

2. Severely decrease his lag. This way other characters haven't dodged out of the way by the time his move is executed.

3. Change his two useless B moves to something else. If you notice those two moves are the first two moves he learns in the RPGs.
- Confusion is helpful at times... but I think a move change is in order. Disable just plains sucks.
- Forward B, Psycho Cut 10-15% damage Mewtwo charges Psychic energy into his arm to form a blade and quickly slashes at the foe. Has good knockback.
- Down B, Barrier 5-8% damage if it comes in direct contact with foe. Mewtwo forms a reflective shield directly in front of him that bounces back projectiles.
I was going to suggest Recover.. but that would make him too cheap.

4. Give him a Final Smash worth using. My suggestion Psychic.
Once Mewtwo grabs the Smash ball he glows Purple. He laughs as he levitates off the ground, charging his body with Psychic energy. Anyone trying to attack him or in a certain radius will be stopped, lifted in midair and then shocked with Psychic power. They are dealt anywhere from 90% to 140% damage. Then he throws them in random directions and falls back to the ground. Depending on the stage being thrown in a certain direction could kill you or save you. The force of the throw is equal to his side throw.

5. His down smash should also cover both sides of his body. I think he should charge both his hands and release a blast on both sides.

With these changes I think he would make a decent character and not be at the bottom of the tiers.
Having the reputation of "the most powerful Pokémon" and being such a pain to fight in the actual game, I would expect more of him.

"So, this is my power... but what is my purpose? "

my idea for mewtwo's final smash is pretty much like pikachu's
and the start is like tyrannotaur's idea but anyways.

1.mewtwo grabs smash ball
2.mewtwo glows with black aura
3.mewtwo laughs
4.mewtwo starts to turn around
5.mewtwo turns into a shadow tornado(a little smaller then master hand)
flying around the screen suckin up every charater
giving them 75%-90% damage and sending them flying up.

(a little bit like the tornado at hyrule from 64)

Will you shut up about psycho boost or did some how go into the wrong topic!!!
What's wrong with Psycho Boost, it's the most powerful of the Psychic attacks and perfect for Mewtwo

zig, I think it'd be wise for you to shut up. You've been speaking nothing but nonsense and yelling at Psycho when he didn't do anything wrong. And why should anyone stop making up stuff for Mewtwo and give others a chance? That makes no sense. They're doing something productive, and I don't see you saying anything about Mewtwo. Geez.

I think Psycho Boost would be a nice technique for Mewtwo myself. I just hope the animation will be mind blowingly awesome. It's what Mewtwo deserves.

So nobody else but me thinks he'd be good as the Pokemon Trainer's Final Smash?
Well I find that The Pokemon Trainer should have either three different Final Smashes (one for each Pokemon) or a final smash using all three Pokemon.

Mewtwo was a fantasic character, and if hes in Brawl it'll be even better.

Mewtwo should kind of make the ground "ripple" for his final smash. If a character touched the ground, they'd be sent flying at a random angle with the ripple effect. And just to hit people above the ground there'd be a meteor shower, cause those are awesome.

Either make Mewtwo better, or replace him with Lucario. They should make Mewtwo balanced. He'll have a balance of speed and power.

Shadow Ball should go in a straight path.

I dont really know how to get rid of Teleport.

Disable has got to go.

Confusion has go to go as well.

Mewtwo shouldn't be replaced by anyone, regardless of his performance. he deserves to be in. period.

:EDIT: Zigzag.... shut.. the hell up.... your providing no constructive comments what-so-ever; and the fact that Lucario is one of the most requested pokemon proves that people care about him... you've been MIND CRUSHED!
