The knights interesting move is something the queen cannot do and opens up strategies impossible for her.

Sure, the queen is more useful under most normal circumstances, but a more accurate statement would have been the queen is more powerful than the rook (Since the queen is "A powered up rook")

The king is the leader. The queen may be more active, but regardless if she lives or dies the second the king dies it's game over
