well seeing how sakurai said sonic is the fastest character in the game unmatched in speed this deconfirms pretty much any other sonic character sorry i would've taken shadow or knuckles

Well even though in the series metal sonic is as fast as sonic he doesnt have to be based on speed for brawl.

but Sonic is faster then Knuckles... Knuckles is more power type then speed time... so he woudn't match Sonic's speed...
