How would people feel about having a low tier side bracket in addition to/lieu of the project m side bracket? I think a low tier tournament could be hella hype cuz how long has it been since anyone's seen one of those?

Also does anybody else think the changes to the ruleset for best of 5s is kind of stupid? Forcing people to not ban and win on 3 different stages doesn't make things more interesting, it just forces them to play on one stage with a huge disadvantage (marth vs fox on FD, floaties vs spacies on Dreamland) which pretty much just make it a best of 3 anyways. I'd rather see some close matches on the same stages that have been played than watch people fail at overcoming the huge deficits of certain counterpick stages.

We don't have time for a low tier tourney. I was burnt out on smash by the time P:M came around. I didn't even wanna play lol. As for the rule set, we're just following Evo rules and we're gonna play by them until it happens.

eh if there's time for p:m then there'd be time for a low tier thingy (especially since a low tier tourney would be way easier to run simultaneously and we wouldn't have to **** around with waiting for people to switch setups over), and it's not like you have to enter either of them if you don't want breh.

Supposedly there's a Brawl event tomorrow but there are no details on it, and your area seems so hostile towards brawl based on this thread that I almost wonder it's not a cruel prank.

I play Melee too, but I'm not driving three hours to lose in two rounds. Which is what would happen to me in Melee. I'm bad at Melee.

Can we get some better solid details at least?
