I regard the two weeks i spent with mates as some of the best weeks of my life. Probably better than going to Europe for 6 months.

Also, be sure to post future events to the Australia Subforum fo Smashboards; I'm pretty sure Melbourne's Brawl and Melee communities didn't even know a 64 scene independently existed.

Also, from what I gather reading above, you had trouble with venue bookings. The Melee and Brawl communities are part of a competitve fighting game organisation (CouchWarriors) that holds tournaments on a monthly basis in the Abbotsford/Richmond area. I'd like to welcome you guys in setting up a 64 tournament there and I can feed you guys the necessary equipment to get set up and run the event however you guys wish. We're very well resourced so I think it'd be a good way to go and also boost numbers -- give it a shot.

The next one is Saturday November 6.

it's in boronia, if you guys are keen to come along i'd be happy to have smash 64 also, run by robsta

for me it was about celebrating with friends not about getting f*cked up.
