This was just to test out FallenTwilight's gamebridge. It works, good quality too! Aside from that I just wanted to show smashboards some of my skills... or not. Anyway here you go, enjoy.

Match 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhAnpojOwBY Best match out of the three.
Match 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmx9bSSg-8A Horrible.
Match 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaUw1kwpSOA Too close.

Comment/Rate.

EDIT: I took most of your advice and here's the outcome.

Why don't you ff your shfairs? I saw you ff your nairs in between stocks, but never the fair during the actual match. There were also several times when you ended up behind the Ike after he'd shield one of your fairs because of improper spacing--be careful with this. If it happens against a smarter opponent who is able to pick up on this flaw early enough in a match, you'll get punished for it every time. Also, don't forget to follow your moves up, there were a couple of dtilts left without a chaser, and several grabs that were just that, a lone grab.

Wayyy too much Shieldbreaker. Speaking of SBer you can cancel your sliding animation after a dash with correct timing. I noticed you were running then sliding to a stop then shield breakering, which isn't the fastest way to do that.

And you need to work on gimping Ike... there were a few times where he was off the edge where he should have died but you didn't aggresively edge guarding and he made it back. Pretty much any time Ike can't cover the horizontal distance he was sent back with one jump then he should be gimped. Even if he has his jump you should try to anticipate and then gimp.

Or like take said countering is good too.

Don't be afraid to use Dolphin Slash agressively. Doing it out of a shield is great. Don't try edgeguarding with SB. It won't work, because it is so easy to jump over. Try something else, like Dancing Blade or a fair. You can also counter many of Ike's moves on reaction, so be aware of that. Don't fsmash so much; at one point you weren't even close and pulled it out. Against faster opponents, that leaves you wide open (against a godd IC player, that would have resulted in a grab).

In the newest video, it seemed like you used Shield Breaker randomly during the first stock or two, and then not at all for the rest of the match. Shield Breaker should be used sparingly and really only if it will hit since it has some lag (although it can be used as mindgames occasionally). Also Dolphin Slash is better used to punish an opponent, as it is more guaranteed to hit and it only has huge knockback if you hit with the initial start-up. I recommend using it after shielding an opponent's attack while up close. Also, a nice approach can be dashing up to your opponent, stopping by putting your shield up when you get close, and as soon as they retaliate your shield can block the hit and they are open for a Dolphin.

I took advices. New video on first page tell me what you think.
Both you and the Ike improved. The Ike seemed a bit more noticable in that regard though.

You dawdled less, but were still doing his SB a bit too fruitlessly. You weren't dodging as much as you were in the other videos, and weren't fast falling much either (unless it was inbetween stocks).

More versatility with your dancing blade, and more effectiveness of dolphin slash are probably your next areas of improvement though.

As a sidenote, can you give me a link to the Gamebridge you bought? I've been looking to buy one.

Yeah I know they've gone up in price quite a bit, but what else am I going to use? I hate filming with an actual camera since the angle is always off and you can hear background noise. Is the GameBridge easy to set up and use?

On topic, I agree with Shaya, sliq you weren't dodging as much in the new video. That was actually one of your stengths.

well, the ike got better
It actually seemed like the Ike forgot how to air dodge in that video, that 18% fair->fair->tipped fsmash kill on the second stock was ugly.

However, I still don't see you fast falling, although on your first stock, you did seem to be spacing your fairs a little bit better. Another thing is your overuse of fsmash, not only that, but you're missing it a lot, which can lead to bad things if your opponent is smart enough to punish you for it. Instead of using fsmash so much, try dancing blade, or dtilt, both are a lot quicker and make for great punishing tools. Sometimes it helps to save fsmash for a killing move, not a damage builder, the more often you connect with it and don't KO someone, the less knockback it will have the next time you use it.

As Shaya said, begin working on becoming more versatile with dancing blade, and try to switch up your approach methods, fair isn't always the best. Also, throw in a few dtilts, they're nothing short of amazing.

@Kirin - google EasyCap, it's what I use to record and it works flawlessly.

I looked up the EasyCap and it seems like it's a great little device, and it's cheap! I saw it for $25! Questions though... how's the quality of video, and is there any lag?

Quality is excellent, and I have zero lag. Best part is the price, though ;)

Only video I have where I used it is a combo video I made within the first week of getting it:

It's alright quality. What's with the people talking in the background? Does it pick up background noise too?

Great, where did you get yours from? I'm wondering if there are any stores I can get it from instead of having to order off Amazon or wherever.

I found it on Amazon for 16 + shipping. :) Does it come with movie editting software? I heard it did.

On-topic, I haven't used Marth in a while but I got back into him tonight. He's just so fun to play! Spiking with him is one of the most amazing feelings in this game haha.

Yeah, it comes with some ULead software, but I haven't used it.

Since Marth's spike is so much harder to land than most of the other characters', I do feel a huge sense of "hell yeah" when I dunk someone into the depths of the KO zone, especially at tournaments, because everyone who was watching just saw me dish that out. It's just a nasty move if you can connect with it.

yeah i've only really spiked about 4 to 5 times in brawl. yeah i know it sucks. but i can't get any good real experience cause my opponent always uses Ike which can't really be spiked very well due to the easy gimping that can be done to him. and his annoying aether always punishes me when i try too. So yeah when i spike i too get the "hell yeah" feeling in my head.

Ur good and I really liked your dodging! but here is a tip, when fight against Ike, I would propose

1.following him off the edge and preforming a fair, It's almost always a gaurintied kill because of the lack of sidways distance on his upB.

and 2. even though you did great and three stocked him , I propose that you should gaurd on Ike's more ovious attacks. Such as the charged Usmash he killed you with in the first vid. It really helps me against the heavier charictors to do that. =)
