Matchup Questions for Knowledgeable Luigi Players

Hi, i've played Luigi on and off since Brawls release. I got into him pretty serious for a while and then I lost interest. I do know the ins and outs of the character and i'm considering picking him up for several matchup where my characters are extremely disadvantaged or me simply struggling with the matchup.

Since you guys don't have an active matchup thread, i'm sorry if this is an undesired thread but i'm simply looking for matchup ratios for the following matchups. Interested how Luigi players view these matchups.

Mario
Lucario
Kirby
Peach
Yoshi
Ness
Lucas
Sonic
Toon Link
Olimar

Any further analysis on the matchups would be greatly appreciated as well.

Yoshi is a 65-35 IMO, Because I feel that Yoshi is the perfect weight for Luigi to toss around and still be able to KO at low percentiles. Like you can u-tilt juggle and also kill with an f-smash.

Tink 60:40 (haven't fought an amazing one though)
Olimar 70:30 (they will tell you the same)

according to olimar players ive talked to, luigi is at a big advantage over them. apparently luigi's nair beats every single on of olimar's moves, plus ive noticed tornado works really nice against him as well.

As far as my tournament experience is concerned (and I've actually played all these in tourny suprisingly.)

Mario- Dead even. Probably the most balanced matchup in brawl.
Lucario- Slight adv. lucario, range plz.
Kirby- Adv. luigi. Maybe its just me, but I roflstomp kirby. Bair beats him.
Peach- Adv peach. You can't be anywhere above or below her. Sides only.
Yoshi- Even. He has range, but he also has lag, and you have punishment.
Ness- Even. If he's not fair camping you, he's doing it wrong. Get under it.
Lucas- Hard to say. I've seen it go both ways. I beat every lucas I play not named Tyr. However, tyr is better than I am.
Sonic- Adv Nair. (sonic can't do anything to it.)
Toon Link- TL by a small margin. And by small margin, I mean bombs.
Olimar- Oli's 3rd worst matchup. Nair through his pikmins, come at him from the air, make him fear the tornado. When he fears the nado, you can do whatever you want to him. (paraphrased from an oli, hilt)

And not only do you make use look like douches, you don't even add that much input. 90% of the Luigi players didn't even add any input. But whatever, it's 6-4, the loser Ness mains don't know ****.

Your board is not dead. Stop saying that the Luigi boards have had 3 pages for the whole summer, while most of the other boards had 2.

Anywho, I was mad because most of the time your posts are intelligent. (when someone posts vids, you critique them perfectly)

:25 Shoryuken wouldn't be such a nice attack if it doesn't kill. But I'm pretty sure you didn't know he wasn't in kill %s.

:39 if you ran and go for a bair stage spike you would have killed him

1:01 SH double bairs are nice... but it's although risky... your spacing needs work..

1:16 err.. dsmash after a spotdodge is a meh ~.~

1:25-:30 sexy 5 seconds in 51% really sexy.

1:31 dont ever use dash attack it's crap

1:41 don't ever use green missle on stage.

2:24, you should have read oppenent's ledge game by now. That ike has been doing a ledgejump to airdodge, if you predicted that or read him already you could have punished him right there. But still you got him.

2:37 when u were stuck in the jab, you could have DI'd away and go for a strong Nair and win.


Overall : Great Luigi. Abit less dsmashing, more upsmashing. Your buffering is just around average where every luigi player should be at.

Yes " most of the time ". Look I'm not a perfect person or intelligent person (people can look on that in any point of view) however people do make mistakes and they like to **** and joke around at times. I'm one of those people. If you were LBR (luigi back room) ( not that you wouldn't care or have any associated businesses in there) I'd live up to what you just said.

Anyways I'd go in the Ness boards and debate, but to be very honest, I hate debating and the match up ratios will always be biased.

Oh and critiquing videos is really easy to point out lol.

And sorry if I've offended you in any way, I'm just not a perfect person at all. But literally I'm trying my best to help forward luigi's meta-game *and **** man its even harder to tolerate on how admireable i love the mario's boards on how they work together and ****.
