Lmao.

The nado isn't the main problem, to be honest.
Every metaknight main I've talked to says the way I play, as well as other olimar's, limits them to only 1 safe and viable approach. We shut down a LOT of metaknights game to the point where he has to nado a lot to win.
I really need to practice that reverse tether Icylight was talkin about, lol.

Footstooling can be alright sometimes... too bad you're rather high up in the air above MK at that point... just like they want. ;/

In the jawn, with the jawn.
The Snake Dthrow tech chase doesn't become that big of a problem after you're accustomed to how to get out of it. I've come to realize that Olimar has various tools he can interject between the throws to stop the flow and allow you to get out of it if you react well enough to it.
Mixing in Uptilt is a great tool if you don't use it too often to break out, because it's fast and a multi hitter and sends them enough away that you have some time to retreat or regroup yourself.
Jab is a good mixer because if it hits you can usually follow it up with something depending on percents, or you're able to get away. But if it's shielded it ends fast enough where they usually can't grab you right again if you retreat.
Dtilt is just used as a good surprise attack because no snake is expecting you to use it. Though it isn't good enough to be your go to attack because if it's shielded you can be punished VERY easily.

R.O.B.: 60-40
Nothing R.O.B. has can put it at even or disadvantaged for us. All of his tools that he can utilize we have a good answer for. His camping isn't a big deal at all if you're accustomed to it, and shield eats it anyway.
He has a soft underbelly and we're good at exposing it. He has a hard time shaking pikmin off without putting himself at risk, and is killed generally if you don't waste Usmash earlier. The only thing you need to worry about is his ability to gimp you early if you're careless. It's in our favor solidly.

MY 1000th post finally!
Been here since 0 freaking 5, and I finally hit 1000.

I for one feel very confident in the MK matchup. His approahes are pretty easy to deal with. Apart from tornado. If hE didn't have that move I would be vouching this matchup ad being even or our advantage.

hey

marth ***** ur face
The only marth I've been beaten by in tournament is mikehaze... no one else comes close. I don't have any match-up experience other than the marths I've played in tournament and MMs, lol.
If marth ***** oli's face... I'm sure I would lose to other marths in tournaments, but so far only someone who's like... what... top 2? has given me the ****, and there's a major skill gap between haze and I.

Theoretically Snake does counter us, but I don't think enough Snake mains have mastered the infinite tech-chase yet. Regardless, if we take said theoretical infinite into account, I think the Ice Climbers match up would be far more in their favour.

I'd like to see you play against a good Marth. I'm skeptical, but I'd be glad to see an effective strategy for handling Marth. If you could manage to put it into words for discussion, that would be great. From what I see, though, Marth has enough tools to counter is well.

Zelda was better than 65:35 before? That's understandable. I'll change it right away.

Regarding Samus, from my experience, it seems like 60:40 at best. It's probably just personal, though. I'm hearing that it's probably a lot more in our favour. I'll change it as well.

What trick? I can only think of one recent Dedede trick, which is the up tilt out of his neutral special.
IMO, Samus and Olimar is 25-75 respectively. Olimar stops everything samus has to offer. Everything. He is too short to easily zair, too many pikmin to charge shot, too short to make good use of homing missiles and no use of power missiles. He can outcamp Samus horribly, and his U smash beats Samus'. dair. The absolute best thing Samus can hope for is a gimp, but simply getting Olimar offstage is near impossible.

I would rather play any other character as Samus than Olimar, It's pretty brutal.
