Even among Smash fans specifically, there's a LOT of demand for new Zelda characters. Especially after Smash Wii U reused the same designs. People are so sick of just the Triforce Trio and Skull Kid will is perfect for breaking it!

I feel like tomorrow is Skull Kid's time. He's not as popular a choice in the Smash community as Geno or Isaac, and he doesn't have that third-party star power, so he's unlikely to be saved for a big reveal later. I also think Incineroar might not be shown until after Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee release, since they won't be in those games. But he's still a popular character in the gaming community, so a general Direct might be the best time to reveal him, as opposed to a Smash Direct!

I'm feeling quite that this could be Skull Kid's best chance to show tomorrow. The guy's been on a fire quite a while now. In fact, I'm afraid his hype might die down a bit if he's not shown in this Direct.

I just came up with a depressing realization: If Skull Kid is not revealed on Thursday, his chances will be severely hurt. I don't think he's big enough to be the final reveal (it will be a crazy 3rd party or Geno, or less likely, Isaac) and if the chair theory is true that means Skull Kid has to be the next fighter revealed after K. Rool.

I agree with this. Skull Kid honestly feels unnecessary revealed ahead. This IS his time because he's so expected at the moment if not DLC. If otherwise, people will stop talking about the character because by then the moment will feel like Geno. Like what happened to Ridley. He was heavily discussed via Smash 4, barely discussed pre-confirmed Smash Ultimate because people lost hope. You can say the furniture is bs but there's clearly something to it because Sakurai actually messing with Skull Kid supporters is a huge plus, even making this REALLY feel like Skull Kid's time him self.

I mean... Don't worry that much. Skull kid not being revealed will definitely delete the chairs theory, but if he is not shown as a boss he could still show up. This is not going to be the second to last Smash video presentation, and in smash 4 the last reveal wasn't anything crazy hype. The hypest stuff they showed really early on with MegaMan and Pacman, and then on DLC. Skull kid would have a lot of chances if he isn't reconfirmed.

Gonna reiterate my predictions: Isaac/Bandanna Dee trailer to start us off, A new animal crossing game that transitions to an Isabelle echo which then transitions into some kind of thing about online mode towards the end and then ending with Skull Kid's trailer.

Literally why. This is not a Smash Direct. From the website numbers the very most we could get is two character slots, and one of those will almost certainly be an Echo.

As far as my most wanted's are concerned, Skull Kid is on my "If this character gets in I'll be 100% satisfied" list so we can consider him one of my most wanted.

I was originally predicting Isaac but after giving it some thought I feel a bit more confident about Skull Kid.
So, like I said. I'm kinda putting my eggs in this basket. Betting on it.

I'm no leaker or whatever (emphasis on whatever) like Loz but I think our intentions align on this one.

Yeah, tomorrow really isn't a do or die moment for him at all, the only time to begin worrying is if we go into the final Smash Direct (likely in November) and he still hasn't been announced, at that point every character fanbase will be sweating it.

In the event it isn't Skull Kid tomorrow the most important thing is to not take anything out on the character that is revealed instead, being disappointed is fine, but the easiest way to make enemies on this board is to throw a tantrum at whoever got his/her/its moment to shine instead, and I really don't want the Skull Kid fanbase to be known as one of those fanbases.

i think that may be a lot of characters for a general nintendo direct ..... but it would be wonderful if it happens tho!!!!!
my bets are on one newcomer and one echofighter, for instance skull kid alongside isabelle :D but like you guys said, i wont lose my hope if he's not revealed tomorrow, as long as he's not shown as an AT or a boss, we still have our chances!

Way too many imo. IF we get two, it will be one at beginning of direct and one at the end. You have to remember, this is a Nintendo direct, not a Smash one. Set expectations low for the number of newcomers. If we get more, fantastic
