This. No matter how good this game is, people will complain that it's different than MvC2 so it sucks.

Actually now that I think about it, they're probably better off just adding new characters to MvC2.

MvC2 was good because of it's brokeness and you know what happens with broken stuff, they fix it. Unfortunately this will cause a lot of problems with the Marvel vets. *sigh* I'm not even gonna lie, I want another MvC2 with more characters and techs. I think if this is done right, this could be the best fighting game of all time. Beautiful graphics+3 on 3+ fast gameplay= OMFG!!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, they have made 30 charecters so far, and with the game coming out in just a year, they aren't even focusing on balance, and just "how many can we get in?" based on the interview. So, I think they might understand to some degree what the community wants.

MVC2 ended up a good (competitive) game completely by accident - it's the whole infinite monkeys jamming away on a typewriter analogy and they just happened to get the one that typed hamlet. Hoping to get that a second time is a pipe dream. Pretty sure what the community wants is a good game, not a 297432947 character pile of a$$.

I'm not saying that it won't be worse if it's balanced, I'm saying that capcom got INCREDIBLY lucky that MVC2 came out broken the way it is and not "unplayable pile of garbage" style broken. Expecting that to happen twice is just not realistic.

all I know is Capcom isn't Nintendo. They at least have a mild idea about how their players feel about their products (Mega Man 9 and 10?)

They better have Phoenix Wright as a playable character. If they could make Jill and Servbot playable characters in MvC2, they sure as heck can create Phoenix Wright as a playable character in MvC3.
