Hard + Bad: Sheik, Falcon

Hard + Not Bad: Fox, Falco, Ganon

Stupid + Not Bad: Jigglypuff

Meh + Not Bad: Everyone else

Sheik is the worst of those by a considerable margin. Falcon follows. Onstage he beats you, offstage you beat him. Offstage he can beat you pretty easily too; his edgeguarding is nasty on you. On the flipside, Marth's game onstage isn't horrific. It really boils down to him being faster and having a better run back and forth game. He does outclass Marth onstage though by enough to make him a problem.

Fox and Falco are gay but even enough. Ganon is debated enough by people so I threw him in there too.

Jigglypuff is easy for Marth but she's stupid and deserves her own category. **** Jigglypuff, seriously.

Everyone else has their own ranging levels of *********** but Marth wins, basically. Link is debated every now and then as being potentially gay and homoerotic but I trust Skler on it when he says Marth wins so whatever. I'm sure someone could construct a vaguely decent argument for it, but I am inclined to believe that the range difference and "Eat Your Bombs With My Moves" spiel is enough to keep Link at bay. Arguments like "He can shield grab Marth for doing spaced Fair" or whatever will be ignored.

If you have enough spacing, Marth owns anyone. using small A attacks helps by cancelling Falco lasers. keep the edge, don't fall for mindgames, dont up-B the wrong way, etc.

If you have enough spacing?

Using small A attacks?

What is that even suppose to mean.

You should be giving advice on how to do all of these instead of just stating the obvious.

p.s: Mewtwo pwns marth on yoshi story.....no joke >.>

Agrees. Fox goes even with Marth and can **** him really hard if he camps slightly and establishes momentum. Falco gets gimped a little to easily to be put in the same category.

What about IC?
I know a big part of marth's game are his grabs, but if you grab one IC, the other one hits you so...
I've never played an IC before >>

lol jiggs marth is definitely not 20-80

yes the utilt can be smash di'd though like nobody actually tries to sdi it because its not super obvious its coming, and if it is obvious, people will avoid or shield it

What's the percentages for Jiggs vs Marth? I read somewhere that it was 80-20, maybe it was outdated.

IC's shouldn't be too hard for Marth.

Dude, what do the percentages really matter to you, anyway?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and you can't cancel lasers with small A attacks. Or large ones, for that matter.

During this matchup, Marth is a magician. When he waves his sword, Nana disappears.

But in all seriousness, IC is mostly just controlling them via platforms and then aggressing them with magical Marth powers so you take out Nana. From there, Popo falls without his ***** to protect him.

In general, keep yourself spaced. Fair, jab, D-tilt is okay but somewhat risky if they fly over you with Bair or Fair and knock you over and death combo you (on the other hand it sets up edgeguard so use at your own dicretion). SideB does a big number on their shield but is CCable into grab if you're not spaced, so in general just stick to spacing your ridiculous Fair and using other moves when necessary.

U-tilt ***** them if they're on a platform but do NOT turn down an opportunity to F-smash them off the stage (because you're supposed to be conservative with F-smashing in this matchup; if they're on a platform, though, they can't waveshield into grab on you so don't turn the opportunity down). Their recovery is mediocre at best and very trackable. Just stalk their landing and tip, or tip them out of it. If you can get a spike, even better. Walking is pro here. If they're hit off, they either die, or lose Nana. Do not turn down chances to hit them off.

If they Blizzard to defend themselves just wait it out. Don't run into it. Or you will be grabbed, wobbled to 200, and die.

A cool trick is to SHFFL Fair at their shield and then Up+B and land on a top platform. ICs tend to shieldgrab a lot, so it will often kill Nana or set them into a bad position easily. It's really good on Battlefield and Dreamland. Also good on Yoshi's because Nana DIs amazingly and never dies off the side on a small stage like Yoshi's...

If you've split them, kill Nana. Deal with Popo later. I don't know how people get this mixed up but you're supposed to kill the *****.

Same way you smash DI any attack, really... quartercircle!

EDIT: I guess you could just tap, but that's harder.

I think he meant in which direction lol

It depends at what percents...if it is from a low percent and they are trying a rest combo...you're screwed lol

I would say behind them. It's harder for them to reach you. Honestly, there's no guaranteed way to avoid it, just try not to be in utilt range.

If you are at a higher percent try to DI above them if you DI behind them you usually are in range for a Bair or something and those can usually be combo'd into another aerial. Whereas if you DI up, they should hopefully be able to hit you with only a Uair which they can't really use on a Marth at a high percent.

Why would you ever be in uptilt range? Everything you have straight up outranges it (including grab). And even if he does land an uptilt, DI behind Jigglypuff and you're too far to get rested (by the time they reach you, you can jump and airdodge) unless you're like at 0% or something.

It's even. Get him off the stage and keep him there until he falls down and dies. Gimping with fairs speeds the process along.

EDIT: Hey, I just answer questions, I don't make up the scenario =P

Fox usually Shff's something your way so you just Ken dash > JC Grab

I usually counter if they are recovering with a FireFox at a like 40%+ and then just gimp them somehow

You can Jab them out of their Illusion so that you can transition into that^^
