Marth Removed? - Ike's alt custome?

I remember some of people comments that Ike have Marth costume as his alt costume, so I am worried about Marth's chance. (Same with Jigglypuff, since Pikachu got costume of Green Headbands like Jigglypuff.)

I want to know if Ike's alt costume actually look like Marth or somewhat close to that look?

Ike is similar to Marth. Not identical, similar. Luigi is similar to Mario, but they're still separate characters. Ike is a freakin' powerhouse, while Marth is quick. I could foresee Marth making a return. If not, oh well. Ike's cool enough.

I would be furious if they remove Marth, not becuase he is my main; only reasons I would be furious becuase he is first lord of first game in serie, and he came back in FE3. Also he have unique moveset, along with Roy which have similar moveset.

What is point of removing characters that have original movesets?

To be honest, I want Marth or Roy to be removed. One is fine, another is okay, but three is just taking up character slots.

I think Ike has like some of there moves from Melee, so I don't think either of them should return this time around. Maybe another FE character with a different weapon?

Darn it people. Stop saying the Fire Emblem icon is Marth's falcion. Every game in the series has had a sword that resembles the falcion. They can't use the Fire Emblem because it changes every game, so the next best thing is a cool looking sword that fans of the series can recognize.

While I'm not anti-Marth or anything, that far from confirms him. Considering this costume, which isn't even Marth's colour, is also very wrong. I can understand something like Fox's Wolf O'Donnel costume, where his fur changes and everything. But this is just a change in clothing colour, which isn't even similar to Marth. Marth is much smaller than Ike, wears a tiara, uses a fencer's stance and has completely different attire. (Except for the cape)

Though I don't think Marth will be in, this outfit or the icon has nothing to do with it.

Bah so Sigurd is now de-confirmed. That's bothering me more than Marth's possible removal... Anyways, looks like I'll be using that costume for Ike though. Sigurd was that awesome.

But I don't really think Marth has been deconfirmed by just a similair costume though. Atleast, not completely, he still has a chance though it's getting rather slim now. But still, Mario also has a green costume which is similair to Luigi though we all know Luigi'll return and does Mario still has his yellow Wario costume?

Not really. Thats just the blue-cape white-clothing outfit ShurikenBW pointed out looks somewhat like Sigurd. If thats the outfit people were mistaking for a Marth one, its safe to say Ike does not actually have a Marth outfit.

I am little worried about Marth's future in Brawl, since he is very unique. I don't see how can Ike replace Marth and Roy. I would like to see Marth or Roy to make their return to Brawl.

That's Sigurd as a alternate coustme (almost). Looks good to me. YAZ MARTH! That actually COULD HELP MArth's chance (eliminating another possible FE rep) a little. I bet Marth will return, since Ike is like the slowest character in Brawl. Seriously, Roy is faster (Roy is as fast as Link in Brawl btw...assuming he returns). Ike is DIFFRENT to have marth as a altnerate costume. No excuse for Marth NOT TO RETURN, NO REASON AT ALL! Plus Japan loves him, and Sakurai clearly cares about Japan more then the rest of the world. COMBINED! (kinda sad, though) Hopefully Roy returns, though. He needs to be a God tier after sucking in his game, and being a low tier in Brawl. He needs to have a original moveset, and totally pwn n00bs!

Look on the bright side Sigurd fans. AT LEAST YOU CAN PLAY HIM THROUGH IKE! Technically, he's a playable character! I'm happy Wolf is at least playable through Fox, and that Dixie Kong is playable through Diddy Kong, as well as Fusion Suit and Phazon Suit Samus! So, at least that makes the roster seem and feel bigger. I like Sigured, and am glad to see him as a altnerate outfit, since I figured he had practically no chance to begin with!

People need to realize this isn't Soul Calibre, where half the characters have swords. Swords are not ORIGINAL, as Sakurai expressed he wanted the characters to be ORIGINAL. Ike is a 2-hand sword user, and therefore different than LINK. You can expect maybe 1 more sword user, two is pushing it. But Marth being one of them is a pipe dream.

Are you blind? Ike's alternate outfit is WHITE while Marth's is BLUE. Quite obvious.

Ike and Marth have totally different moves and such. Marth can still fit perfectly into the roster.

i dont want to see marth as an Ike costume. like somone mentioned the stance and the look of marth doenst fit Ike whatsoever. I say just leave him out altogether. so far there hasnt been any sign of Ness which is a shame and he was the original protagonist in earthbound. yet they choose Lucas. so if it happens to Marth what's the big deal really.
