Marth can stall?

It seems that if you are in the air and you do the first strike from Dancing Blade, Marth seems to stall. This can lead to throwing people off...but I am asking the Marth community if this is actually useful or, in essence, worth using?

^^ above. and basically... not too useful. only happens when marth is going up. stops momentum so does not help him recover in any way if used multiple times. it has saved me one time, just to stall a second to wait for an edgehogger's invincibility to run out.

Yes, it's very useful. It increases your total possible distance by a bit and it also keeps your opponent guessing so its more difficult to be edgehogged.

But honestly, this didn't warrant its own thread.

It can stall, but would put you in mostly unnecessary risk if using it against a smart opponent. Or do you mean using it for edgehogging?

Yes it's useful but if you don't wait a bit afterwards you could end up doing the second hit and possibly the third of dancing blade if you try to do other moves. This could end up killing you if you're using it to stall because you'll start to fall and might not be able to dolphin slash back up and by then you're opponent can be ready to get the invincibility frames back and let you fall to you're death =(.

Sadly I know this from personal experience >.> probably one of the dumbest things I've done lol.
