okay so in match 2 I saw the first stock you got grabbed a few times

I think you can stop this by spacing yourself so your just outside his grab range

this way it gives you enough time to react to a boomerang/bomb

the most dangerous thing you'll have to look out for in that situation is if he approaches with a boomerang

and even then you can deal by just jumping

I would also say fair less, but they all seemed to connect so...keep it up? lol

I think mine is starting to have the same problem, but I usually get the black spare ones

I heard the white ones break easy =/

aaah ive just finished playing melee practically non stop since friday my hands are killing me anyways we got to record stuff there are like 50 vids or something although not all are mario i used all my characters but tomorrow im gunna have to watch em and check out the best ones and up them on youtube expect vids tomorrow or acouple of days

wow the ending to the first match was dissapointing

those hacks are legit

didn't think jab was so effective against falcon but you proved it wrong, I would've chosen utilt in all of those situations

yeah, punch punch punch works nice at low % and if not CCed u can actually pull it off 2 or 3 times cuz he might try to grab. it works kinda like falcons gentleman

f throw > missed tech fair regrab is beast vs ffers

no more gay chaingrabbing for me with mario techchasing all the way

and yea id love to play all u guys too altho not mario dittos those are gay

and meh im too agressive sometimes although i know the falcon and ganon matchup like the palm of my hand cause EVERYONE uses them around here i know deep inside sometimes i gotta slow down and do some gay stuff to win more, coughcapecoughcampingcough

You should AT LEAST U-throw -> D-smash or D-throw -> D-smash fastfallers.

Agreed! Defensive Mario wins 70/30 against aggressive Mario. There is virtually no incentive to approach at all in Mario dittos given how punishable it is, not to mention the fact Mario is rather poor at comboing himself.

Your recovery needs a lot of work. Like, you just Cape Stall at times where it only makes you easier to edgehog. Usually you should NEVER Tornado recover close to the stage. Use it to gain horizontal distance from far distances.

In order to Up-B walljump on YI, you must be in contact with the wall before you start Up-B.

Also you should crouch cancel more. If you don't like holding the control stick down, holding C stick down is a REALLY good substitute.

Outside of that, nice Mario.

Personally I have nothing against Mario users playing defensively. I believe this is in fact Mario's strong point. I'd pick another character if you want to rushdown.

yea lol the cape stalling was 4 fun i usually just do one reverse cape then front angled up-b, its just weird to do sstuff like that while recording on a capture card... i get some weird input lag, stuff happens a little after your inputs on the controller so.. meh
These were friendlies anyways if u notice im not really spacing that great or anything also.

haha yea i know about the up b cancel thing i just bluffed it to freak out my friend that doesnt really know to do it.

um.. and well, i do cc but sometimes against N-airy falcons u just get % hit all day and dont really get a chance to punish. hurts if falcon decides to start dairing too

hey i havent tried dthrow to dsmash i forgot about that one maybe ill invent a nice followup next time i get a chance to play.

Anyways, thx everyone 4 ur inputs, and whats up with the plumber comunity vid.. u gotta up some vids ppl!!!
