This topic is purely made to encourage Mario players to start repping Mario in tournaments, and to step it up :D

I stole this from the Zero Suit Samus page x.o

Credit goes to "TheZeroSuit"

Placement should be posted in the following format:

[Month] PlayerName: TournamentName: Placement/Entrants - $Entry, $Payout

So, for example, awzaD attends "Brawlapalooza" in October, pays $15 to enter singles places 4th out of the 75 entrants, and earns $50 dollars, his format will be

[October] awzaD: Brawlapalooza: 4/75 -$15, $50

FOLLOW THIS AND EVERYONE IS HAPPY



Points will be awarded to players based on an equation that weighs placement and money earned. The formula for ZSSpoints is as follows:

R = ((P^-1)xE/5)+(W/E), where R is ranking points, P is placement as a fraction, E is entry fee, and W is winnings. (W/E) is always greater than or equal to 0, E/5 will always be at least 1, and if there are ever winnings but no entry fee, entry fee will be treated as $5. So, for example:

R = ((3/100^-1)x(10/5))+(75/5)
R = (100/3 x 2) + 15
R = (33.333 x 2) + 15
R = 66.667 + 15

So, the person who placed 3rd in that tourney would earn 81.667 points.

For arguments sake, for the entry fee portion of the formula, do NOT include venue fee, and if you don't post venue fee, I'll assume 5 dollars.

I'm not going to be searching up people's tournaments results, so post the one you want included under your name here, and I'll do the math for you..

I'll have 2 categories, singles and doubles.. OFFLINE only, I don't care for wifi pros...

edit: can I like use my tourney results page from luigi results thread too? seeing as how, the old one died.. and vato doesn't frequently update it too... and why do we have to use Fall? That's like last year status lmao. Shouldn't it be like april/may or something? o.O

If you used Mario in the tournament, and not just like once, then I guess you can be included, unless other people feel as if you shouldn't.

I'm starting in Fall 2009, not 2008 >.> so around September... I can start Summer start, meaning starting today up til end of August if people would like.

Famous, your name has an asterick next to it because I know you have a LOT more, if you dig them up, I'd be more than happy to add them :]

Updated to add Hippie. The $10 dollar entry fee, which is doubled the average 5, pretty much doubled your points above everybody elses >< Are you sure it's $10 dollar entry fee WITHOUT venue fee included..? Or is New York full of jews? xD

IF YOU GUYS WON ANY PRIZE MONEY, POST HOW MUCH YOU RECEIVED THEY GO TOWARDS YOUR POINTS.

I'm only doing Singles now, cause I'm being too lazy to do doubles xD I'll doubles another time, but post doubles results as well, I'll eventually add.

everything is ALWAYS $10 no matter what kanzaki. So basically everyone is full of jews really. That's why I get pissed espically if lose to a NJ mk main. ****ing NJ just come to NY and take our lunch money lol.

When you mean entry fee, its as an singles $10, doubles $10, venue fee $10? Cause that's how it is O_O

btw for anime castle, i only won store credit basically a manga -_-.

Usually for me it's 5 singles, 10 doubles, and any where between 5-10 for venue. I miss Melee when most tourney's didn't have a venue fee :[

boss is most likely the laziest to look for his results, so you'll have to scout out for his results on tourney results thread.

i personally think bo's points should be far more imo lol.

Mine don't get many points on the list due to them usually being Local when I place well with only around 20-30 people maybe. But I do post them there. Ever little bit helps.
