Super Mario All-Stars is going to get a REMAKE (not a VC release) for the Wii this year to celebrate Mario's 25th Anniversary, and will include a booklet reviewing Mario's history plus a soundtrack CD featuring music from SMB to SMG2.

Thoughts? I'm hoping for remakes of the original Mario Bros, Donkey Kong ['94], Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2, and Super Mario 64 to be on it too, and a Wiimote-compatible version of SMS if that isn't pushing it, which I probably am. *fingers crossed for a 2010 US release date*

Its mario's 25th anniversary (well...technically it was yesterday). So, as Justaway already said, they will be releasing a remake of SMA-S for the wii) and they also created a new commercial to celebrate the occasion.

SMA-S is a great Mario game, but it obviously pales in comparison to SMA-S +SMW

Happy 25th anniversary to the Mario-verse. Hopefully Mario stays strong and keeps pumping out great games.

Konno: I think Luigi's Mansion, that I created for GameCube, would be a good game for the 3DS. The lighting of the game, and the dollhouse-like environment of the game I think would be very suitable for 3D. I think the depth and the width of the environments, like a box, that we had in Luigi's Mansion would be a very good match for the effects of the 3DS.

Lugi's Mansion for the 3DS would be awesome, but I'd prefer a sequel.

That's really cool to think about...but as the person above me said I'd love a sequel. Luigi's Mansion just felt too short and too easy for me, but the game itself was a load of fun. Plus, when I heard the word Shleeeorg at the end of the game I cracked up. I don't know why.

Unfortunately, it seems it's still in B&W. On the bright side, it will incorporate 3D effects, so there still is a chance there will be a color mode in the final version.
