I myself have been having trouble with the donut plains staff ghost :) I tried snaking throughout the course and almost beat the time.

MKDS gets pretty easy, and I haven't even played online yet. My Wifi connector broke for no reason :(. I have 2 more times to put up when I get home :)

@Soniczero: Your times are pretty good there, and thats a good site too

Btw I think that Mario Kart Wii should have customizable items like the SSB series do. Then you could do races with Stars only or may Blue Shells only (I feel sorry for first place)

I snaked on Figure 8 Circuit ;), but that's like the only track I can do it on

Edit: lol even though the Donut Plains Staff Ghost was on steroids I still beat him:laugh:. My time was 1:07:196.

Most of the ghosts are impossible to beat without snaking. They MT on every turn, so on curvy tracks they practically snake themselves.

I disagree, on tracks like Bowser's Castle and Airship Fortress they barely snake at all, if any. Of course, those are the easiest tracks to beat...

Try snaking of courses like Mario Circuit, and then once you get more comfortable with it, try snaking on courses such as Frappe Snowland and Choco Mountain. This will greatly help you learn how to snake better on more advanced level snaking courses, such as rainbow road :)

MKDS is pretty good, and imo it's better than MK64 (MK64 used to be my favorite). Mario Kart Wii and DS have online play as well in case you didn't know ;)

@CF1345: I didn't even think it was possible to snake on courses like Rainbow Road.

Mario Kart DS was fun.

I love playing Double Dash with friends, because my friends seem to get so competitive with each other.

I thought that double dash was interesting because you could swap between two characters with different special items.

Some of your times are really fast. What Kart do you usually use?

Btw you should unlock the Donut Plains and the Rainbow Road staff ghost, those are the hardest one imo.

hmm yoshis egg kart with and the dry bomber with yoshi. i unlock most of the staff ghost in the game but rainbow road is my toughest 4 some reason. i try to snake on it and keep falling :[ lol

The best karts of time trials are either Egg1 or ROB BLS. It depends on the track.

I've got new times in check the first page if you want to see them, and btw can anyone beat this time I've just made on Rainbow Road on the DS?

Rainbow Road: 2:14:543

I would also put my times up for Double Dash, but I don't have my game anymore. But if I feel like it (key word "if") I'll put up my MK64 times as well

Dude, your time is so hard to beat....what did you do to get it? The closest i got was 2:20:232

Luigi Circuit for GBA and one for the GCN. Sorry no N64 version of that track

I did the same path and thing the staff did, but better. I've also did a powerslide on a few turns the staff didn't do. If I could send the ghost through Wifi I'll can show you

So, what do you think they should include in the Wii version that hasn't been included in other versions?

It would be cool if they could add a few new items that'll change the track a bit, like a Freezie item could freeze little parts of the tracks or something.
Also I think they should include a track where you race on nothing but boosters all the way through, and no items.


Btw I got 1:05:684 on Donut Plains 1. I ***** that track lol :laugh:

There's actually 3.

Usually when there's a big curve, there's a ramp or small gap you can use to jump across. There's 2 ramps and one tiny gap. To pass the ramps, either use a mushroom, or mini turbo in 150cc, and the gap is passed with a simple jump.
