Today is March 10th, which some may refer to as 3/10, 10/3, or even MAR10 day. Due to how similar it sounds to the word “Mario”, March 10th has become known as Mario Day. It is something even Nintendo acknowledges. And acknowledge it they did, as we received several Mario announcements this fine Sunday morning.

- A sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie is currently in development. The Illumination movie will see the return of directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. And, it’s currently planned to release on April 3rd, 2026.
- The Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door will be released on May 23rd, 2024.
- Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be released on June 27th, 2024.
- Nintendo Switch Online will be receiving three Game Boy Mario titles on March 12th. They are the GB version of Dr. Mario, Mario Golf on GBC, and Mario Tennis on GBC.
There has also been a plethora of other Mario related news throughout the past week. Yesterday saw an announcement of three new Lego Mario sets, with a teaser of Lego Mario Kart appearing at the end. Additionally, the eShop and several select retailers are currently having sales on Mario products for the entire week. So, make sure to make the most out of this Mario-themed week as much as possible.
