I could just be overestimating Mango's level of thinking. But then again, IT IS MANGO.

Any other Marth would've crouch canceled into a grab, but Mango decided to crouch cancel into an upsmash. If you look at Lucky's percent (24% I believe), going for a grab into upthrow would be kinda hard to do at that percent because (assuming Lucky would not DI) Mango would have to pivot grab to continue his upthrow combo, which would be too hard to do in that position on the platform. The upsmash from Mango forced Lucky to tech, and Mango covered his ground options with a downair. That put Lucky at a high enough percent to combo Lucky in that position of the stage while covering all the options.
Or maybe Mango just has a whack *** marth.

i did an up smash because it just seemed like

the best option to me
