"It's not too late, it's never too late"

~ Description~

Wave of Popular Feeling (1992-1995)
Wave of Popular Feeling was recorded up until 1992 and released in 1995 under the band name of Groundswell, a precursor to the current Three Days Grace. Around 150 copies of the album were released. Shortly after release, Groundswell disbanded. Groundswell's line-up included five members: Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Neil Sanderson (backing vocals, drums), Brad Walst (bass), Phil Crowe (guitar) and Joe Grant (guitar). At this time, Neil Sanderson also played in Trevor McNevan's first band called Oddball.

Demo (1997-2002)
In 1997, Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, and Brad Walst united again to continue their musical work together. Originally a cover band, the trio named the band Three Days Grace. The meaning is derived from a sense of urgency as Adam Gontier explains:

"We sort of look at Three Days Grace, as it sort of stands for sense of urgency. Time to pay a debt. If you had three days to change something in your life or if [you] wanted to changed something in your life, could you do it in three days?" [6]

With the help of Thousand Foot Krutch's Trevor McNevan, Three Days Grace recorded a three-track demo album, which released about one hundred copies. Three Days Grace first toured with Thousand Foot Krutch as their opening band.

Three Days Grace (2003-2005)
Upon completion of their first album, self-titled Three Days Grace, the band recruited Barry Stock to help with lead guitar, allowing Gontier breathing room on stage and on tour.[5] The album's lead single, "I Hate Everything About You," reached number two on the US Modern Rock charts, number one on the Mainstream Rock charts, and number two on the Canadian Rock charts. Their second single, "Just Like You," gave the group a second number-one in Canada as well as gaining number one status on U.S. rock charts. This was soon followed by the release of the single, "Home," which turned out to be another radio success for the band.

In 2004, Gavin Brown won a Juno Award for his production work on Three Days Grace and "Try Honesty" by Billy Talent.[7]

One-X (2006-2008)
In 2005, Gontier was sent into rehababilitation for an addiction to the painkiller, Oxycodone. The song "Gone Forever" is based on Gontier's life without the drug. During his time spent in rehabilitation, Gontier wrote several songs which he introduced to the band when he returned in 2006. The band then released the album One-X which includes several of Gontier's songs including: "Pain", "Animal I Have Become", "Riot", "Never Too Late", and "Over and Over." In the spring of 2006, Three Days Grace was on Jägermeister Music Tour with alternative rock bands Staind and Hurt.

In 2007, Gontier recorded a song called "I Don't Care" with the band Apocalyptica. During this time, the band also went on tour with bands Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Seether, Skillet, Nickelback, Hoobastank, Trapt, Puddle of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, Flyleaf, 12 Stones, Red, Econoline Crush, and many others. Live on stage, Gontier has also sung Amy Lee's duet part with Seether in the song "Broken". In a few of his performances he plays an acoustic cover of "Rooster" by Alice In Chains. In addition, Gontier worked with Breaking Benjamin's Benjamin Burnley to sing "Dance with the Devil" on tour.

On August 11, 2008, the band posted a commercial for their first live DVD, entitled Live at the Palace, on their MySpace page. The DVD, released on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, is available exclusively at Best Buy in the United States and across all major retailers in Canada.[8]

On October 7, 2008, Adam Gontier lent his voice to Avaaz.org, along with other Canadian singers, in an effort to raise hope and awareness about Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper's stance on climate change. The song also featured Ed of Barenaked Ladies, Ryan of Hawksley Workman, Ben of Billy Talent, Jason of Broken Social Scene and many others.[citation needed]

Third Studio Album
According to Adam's MySpace blog the band is currently writing songs for their third studio album. Also according to the blog, they are hoping and planning to be in the studio recording by March of 2009. Yet so far they have wrote and recorded about 5 tracks.[9]

Down Special — One-X

Listen carefully, and you won't be confused k?

The Band members must work as one to be assured victory. Like in the title lol.

Adam Gontier, the lead singer of the group, is going to be on the battlefield all of the time the group is out. Here's his pic:

That's him lol. Anyway, he'll be your main character you will be controlling, and that's about it. He walks, runs, jumps, and does about everything you tell him to do. Of course, he would be nothing without his band mates. He can still fight pretty much okay by himself, but he may seem a bit underpowered, if the chance he is seperated from his band members. They help Adam Gontier to fight, with power, range, and speed. Each band member gives something different.

Adam can only have support from his band mates one at a time however. So in english, Three Days Grace can only be played 2 characters at a time. The other 2 band members will be hiding in the background, ready for Adam to tag them in. However, you must note that Adam has to be near them at the background. If Adam is not right next to them in the background, the band members run towards Adam, moving at about Ike's running speed (they should reach Adam in between 3-5 seconds). At that moment, Adam's band members are now able to be targetted as an attack object with that moment, so be careful.

You can switch at any time, but only on the ground. Remember, choose your band members carefully, and you should be alright. Here is what they can do:

Brad Walst. He is the bass player of the group. What he offers is the ability to increase's Three Days Grace's range moveset. That's right, for every attack, sound waves will shoot out of the bass set, and fire about 1 and 1/2th of a small stage builder block extra, from what was supposed to be Three Days Grace's range. That's about it really. He looks cool with a bass. He goes down the easiest of the Three Days Grace's band members, with him being practically Toon Link heavy. Oh yeah, the power of the group remains the same, but the speed is decreased by 0.2 seconds of lag. That's pretty bad news. THAT IS ALL.

The main drummer of the group is named Neil Sanderson. He offers the ability to increase Three Days Grace's speed in the attacks. He'll play the drums rapidly, to help Adam Gontier attack a bit faster. How much faster, is about that most of his attack, pretty much have no lag now. He goes down the same as how Adam is, as he's the same size and weight as he is. The speed isn't effected at all, but the power drops down by about 2% damage for each attack, and the knockback level is decreased by 1. THAT IS ALL.

The guitar player of the group is named Barry Stock. He offers the group in power, with him increasing Three Days Grace's power by 4% damage, and 1 knockback level. He goes down the hardest of the group, as he's about as heavy as Ganondorf (oh snap!!). The speed isn't effected at all, but the range is now decreased, with practically all of Three Day Grace's attacks having them to be directly in front of them. THAT IS ALL.

Choose your band members wisely...

Standard Special — I Hate Everything About You

As the band decides to play this song (note that the members that are not by Gontier's side still play it in the back ground), and all of a sudden start a hate fest. Numerous random people (looking a bit emoish) stand around Gontier, rioting a bit, in a hate fest, remembering there past harsh memories.

The band keeps on playing this for 7 seconds before it stops. The people who were in the hate fest start walkingoff the stage! If Three Days Grace decides to play this song again, no one will come since they are tired of hating for once. They have to wait for a full 15 seconds before playing the song again.

If an opponent is nearby while the song is being played, they will start to go emo as well, joining the hate fest as well. This causes them to be distracted, for as soon as 3DG is finished playing the song, they are distracted for one and 1/2th of a second. People should use that oportunity to attack. Course, there are other ways to hit this attack.

See those people who are rioting around 3DG as well? Well, when 3DG starts playing the song, the crowd keeps on building by 1 person continously (it starts with 1 as soon as the song plays). As soon as 3DG stop playing the song, the crowd will dispersed, and can push the opponents in the hate fest off the stage. The force isn't too strong though with one person, but with all the way to 7 people pushing, they can get off the stage easily, though the chances of all 7 people going in one direction pushing are very unlikely. There is an unlikely chance for even 3-4 people walking in one direction too. Still, the longer the opponent is being pushed by them, they will suffer 1% damage for each second.

Side Special — Animal I have Become

Adam looks into a mirror, and has a chance to see something. There is a 50% chance to see something, and 50% chance to not see anything. The mirror itself can be used a small shield in Adam Gontier's forward direction as he looks into it, but if it gets him, even by the slightest hit, the mirror will break (though Adam will be safe from the hit), and he will no longer will be able to use this move for 20 seconds in total. A good defensive skill, but useless against multiple hitters.

That's not all it can do. If Adam DOES see something in the mirror, he'll see his inner demon/animal. It looks something like this:

It looks disturbing doesn't it XD?

So yeah, if Adam sees that in the mirror he holds out, he'll turn into that monster for a while. With that sudden transformation, Adam Gontier will have his attack raised by around 5% damage for each hit, his lag is decreased a bit, and his attacks have about 1 small stage builder block extra range.

You should be careful though, as there are some downsides to this. For one thing, he will lose 2% damage for each second he stays in that form, and he's forced to stay in that form for 10 seconds in total. Not only that, Adam's band members won't be able to help him at all. In fact, he can't control himself, he can even attack them and knock them off the stage. The player can still control him however. Just saying he goes on a rampage.

A risky move, but it's decent. Use this for damage racking skills if you have all your band members KOed.

Upwards Special — Never too late

This song stays true to the beautiful lyrics....

Adam starts playing the song never too late of course, with his band members playing beside him, or they still play even if they are in the background. Anyway, a magic mirror shows up above Adam Gontier. Remember the lyrics,

"No body will ever see this side reflected?"

Yeah, a mirror will appear above him, and with that mirror, he will be reflected upwards with the mirror. He moves about 4 stage builder blocks upwards in total.

But there is more! With that same mirror, it can reflect projectiles that are shooting in the downwards direction, before Gontier recovers, and can reflect projectiles that are shooting upwards, when Gontier is above the mirror then. If opponents physically attack the mirror, they immediately break the mirror, hurting Three Days Grace's recovery option badly. If Gontier is above the mirror while he's performing the recovery, there will bo no point for the opponent in smashing the mirror. If they smash the mirror in mid air.....they fall straight to there doom like they just did there recovery.

A decent recovery option, and somewhat okay defensive move, but since there are so little opponents that shoot projectiles down or up, it's not partically useful. Just use this move as a recovery option only.

~ Standard A attacks~

Standard A — Over and Over

Adam, and his band, play the song, and all of a sudden, a wheel of darkness surrounds Adam Gontier. It keeps on spinning over and over, until 5 seconds ends. Anyone who goes near Gontier will get hurt. How?

The range covers all around Gontier, but only reaches what is directly next to him. The speed for this move is fast, practically having no lag at the beginning, but at the end, laggy as Ike's forward smash there. The damage it can cause is when, the opponent touches this attack, they grab there head in pain, suffering from terrible past memories OVER AND OVER, and they all suffer about 1% damage for each second they are stuck near the attack. There is little knockback at the last second.

A good damage racker, with Barry Stock on the line, but with Barry, this attack only covers right in front of Gontier.

Side Tilt — Burn

Three Days Grace will have Adam be surrounded by flames for a second. They don't burn him yet, until after 3 seconds, and at that time, the flames disappear. The flames do some damage themselves, but if Adam Gontier is being burned at the 3 second mark, he'll suffer about 6% damage from the flames. Though now, if he touches an opponent, he can hurt them with fire.

The flames themselve reach about 1/5ths of final destination, and they are pretty slow though, with having about a whole 1 second of beginning, and a bit at the end cooling off. The damage the flames can cause is around 10% damage, with little knockback. If Adam is the one touching the opponents with the flame (which BTW, at that moment, the flames will disappear that are burning him), it will cause about 13% damage with ok knockback.

Well...i don't really have any notes, or anything special to say about this move. LOLCHILLINZ!!!

Down Tilt — Let you down

Adam Gontier will taunt the opponent to come over to his side, because there is no need to fear. Soon, Adam will keep on taunting for 2 seconds, and if the opponent isn't right next to him, this attack will fail, and there is about the ending of Ike's forward smash there. If the opponent does foolishly walk in to Adam's trap, he'll grab the opponent, throwing the opponent on the ground, and LET YOU DOWN (AKA, he's just throwing his opponent to the ground.

The range for this attack only reaches what is right next to the lead singer of Three Days Grace. The speed for this move has a bit of lag at the beginning of this move, and the ending is described in the previous paragraph. If Three Days Grace suscessfully manages to hit the opponent with this attack, with the throwing down, it deals off 9% damage, and upon impact on the ground, it sends opponents flying with ok knockback.

A good thing to use mind games for, but opponents with projectiles may avoid this attack easily.

Up tilt — Riot

As Three Days Grace plays this song, all the members from the background will appear, and start......rioting. AKA, go crazy, fight against the power, and yeah. They are doing that in the upwards direction, as they look up.

The range for this attack is constratated only above Three Days Grace. It only reaches what is right above the band. The speed for this move has little to no lag at the beginning, but does end with about the ending of Marth's forward smash. The damage that it can do is about 14% damage, with ok knockback. That's alot of damage for a tilt right? Well...

Remember the lyrics, "If you feel so used up.."? Yeah, this move can only be used 3 times, before having Three Days Grace to cool off the rioting, and not being able to use this move for 30 seconds to mars. Just be careful of this move's limit.

Dash Attack — Get out alive

Adam Gontier will run straight forward for a moment. All of a sudden, he will disappear into thin air, and will reappear about 2 stage builder blocks forward, from where he used to be. When he reappears at that new spot, he has a couple of super armor frames, able to get out alive.

This is not a talking move, and rather it's used for Adam to escape with very little casualties. Use this move well and wisely lol.

~ Smash attacks~

Forward Smash — Just Like you

When Three Days Grace performs this attack, they will copy exactly the opponent's forward smash. No kidding. If it's Link's 2 sword slashing forward smash, Three Days Grace will do that attack. Seriously, it will be a near exact copy of there opponent's forward smash. The only difference is that it does 5% damage less then what is supposed to. Though that's only if you leave it uncharged. Fully charged...

A glass mirror will shatter forward, in front of Three Days Grace, breaking the barrier of being Just Like You (just like in the music video!!) The range for that move reaches about 1 small stage builder block forward. The speed for this fully charged smash attack has a small bit of lag at the beginning (not really that much though) and at the end, it has a bit less than Ike's forward smash to be exact for the ending lag. Only a bit though. The damage it can cause 14% damage with nice knockback.

Pretty cool right? Of course, if your opponent's forward smash isn't something you're comfortable with, only use this move fully charged then, but getting it fully charged can be quite a problem though.

Down Smash — Take me under

As soon as Adam Gontier plays this song with his band, a dark portal appears in front of them. Shadowy hands come out of it, and drags opponents down to the portal. They don't really go anywhere. They are just dragged into the portal, and then they are popped back up. If this move is done to an opponent an a platform like a Battlefield stage platform for example, it will drag them below, and then they will no longer be on the platform, and they are now below it, either falling to there doom, or on the solid ground.

This move's range only reach below, in front of the lead singer. The speed for this move has a bit of lag at the beginning (therefore, not really that much), and there is about Ike's forward smash ending lag at the end. The damage is about 10% damage uncharged, and 13% damage fully charged. The knockback is described in the previous paragraph.

This move is good for meteoring opponents (like when a platform is right below the pit of doom or something), but it kinda has a small hitbox, and if this is not performed on a platform, this move cannot kill at all.

Up Smash — Home

Three Days Grace will sing the song, which will cause a random huge house appear all around Gontier. When the part where the song goes, "This is not place is not a home!!" The house will immediately smash, and break to pieces, and damage all opponents near and next to the house.

The range for this attack covers all around Gontier, and it extends about 1/4th in total, all around him. The range above only goes upwards about 1 and 1/2th of a stage builder block. The speed for this attack is really bad, with the beginning lag about practically as bad as Ganondorf's Warlock punch, and ends with a huge amount of lag too. Luckly, the power makes up for that, dealing about 10-11% damage with nice knockback uncharged, and 14-15% damage with good knockback fully charged.

A good KO move, with decent range, but absolutely punishable at both the beginning and at the end.

~ Aerial attacks~

Neutral aerial — Born Like This

Three Days Grace will do a grabbing motion in mid air. If they manage to touch an opponent, Adam Gontier will steal something from there pockets/whatever they use to keep there stuff. There is 50% chance for something to happen, and 50% chance for nothing to happen.

If you press the A button while in midair, Adam Gontier, "It's not what is stole!!! It's not what i took from you!!!" If Adam did steal something that belonged to the character (example, Adam stole Link's potions, or Adam stole Peach's peaches), nothing will happen, as those sentences are wasted. If Adam did take something that had nothing to do with the character he's fighting, the sentence he said will make sense, and cause the opponent to suffer around 10% damage with ok knockback.

The range and speed is the basic concept for a grab, except they are just stealing something from them. There is a 50% chance that nothing will happen, so be careful.

Forward aerial — Gone forever

Three Days Grace's lead singer will throw his current member he is using forward. With great force, Adam uses both his arms to throw his band member forward.

This is one of Adam's best moves, as it has excellent range, with his band member, this attack travels all the way off the stage. The speed for this move has a bit of lag at the beginning of this move, and ends with a bit too. The damage it can cause is around 14% damage with nice knockback being dealt.

There is a huge downside to this obviously. Once this move has been used, the band member is gone forever. Well not really, there are just gone for the current stock. That means you can only use this move 3 times per stock. Use it wisely.

Backwards aerial — Scared

Adam Gontier will quickly turn around, and scream, "Scared you won't be!!!" A sound animation will come out and attack the opponent, which is the basic hitbox for the attack. The attack's range only travels backwards about 1/2th of a small stage builder block, and the speed is only a slight bit at the beginning, and ends with about the ending of Marth's forward smash.

This a 50% chance of happening. The opponent will be truly scared, and start falling to the ground like they just did there recovery option, but for only 2 seconds, cause that is when they stop being scared. There is no damage here.

This is the other 50% chance of happening. The opponent will not be scared and they will suffer about 9% damage, with no knockback, not even flinching. THAT IS ALL.

Upwards aerial — Time of dying

Adam Gontier will throw his watch in the upwards direction straight up. The damage depends on what time the time you do this attack on, but it will always be a LITTLE useful no matter what.

The range for this attack goes up about 3 small stage builder blocks in the upwards direction. The speed for this move has practically no lag at the beginning of this move, but there is about the ending of Ike's forward smash at the end.

Remember, you gotta pay attention to the time (if you are doing this in a timed battle, that greatly helps this attack to your advantage.)

If the second is done in this kind of pattern: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 etc
The damage will be about 7% damage with little knockback. It's not amazing. You are very likely to do this kind of damage the most.

If the second is done in this kind of pattern: 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, (10s don't count.)
The damage will be about 10% damage with nice knockback. You are very likely to this kind of damage as well.

If the second is done in this kind of pattern: 10, 20, 30, 40
The damage will be a decently good 14% damage with nice knockback being dealt. This is pretty hard to do, timing it, and actually trying to hit the opponent, but it's not IMPOSSIBLE.

If the second is done in this kind of pattern: 60, 120 (so basically, every single minute)
The effect is that the opponent will freeze in time, not being able to go anywhere, plus they suffered 15% damage. This is incredibly hard to do, but the effect is so worth it.

Downwards aerial — Drown

As Three Days Grace plays this song, a huge river that covers the whole stage across, but only goes up about 1/4th up of the entire stage.

The speed for this move is really laggy, with about the lag of Warlock punch at the beginning of this move, and when the river disappears, there is about the ending of Ike's forward smash. The damage this can cause is about 3% damage for every second you stay in the river, though no knockback, and the river can save opponents from falling in a pit, so it's not a good KO move at all.

The band can only use this move 3 times per stock, so use this move wisely.

~ Grabs/Throws ~

Beat Down — Pain
Adam Gontier will simply beat down on the opponent by screaming the lyrics, "PAIN!!" This will cause the opponent to suffer 3% damage for each hit. It is slower than most beat downs, so be careful.

Forward throw — Overrated

Adama Gontier will looks like he's swing the opponent crazily around and around with great force, with all his might, but when he finally lets go....the opponent then finds out that it was overrated. This throw does only a mesely 5% damage with little knockback. Talk about overrated.

Backwards Throw — On my own

Adam Gontier will quickly throw his opponent backwards, sending them far with 8% damage, with little knockback. He quickly attempts to walk up to the opponent, and his band members too, but Adam Gontier will tell them he wants to do this on his own. For the next 10 seconds, Adam won't be able to use his band member's help. THAT IS ALL.

Downwards Throw — Wake up

Adam Gontier will throw his opponent to the ground, but with power so weak and pathetic, his opponent falls bored, and sleeps. Adam Gontier will quickly scream "WAKE UP!! I'm pounding on the door!" This will cause the opponent to jump back to reality, and being shocked, be sent flying. This causes about 10% damage with ok knockback. This move can be priceless lol.

Upwards throw — Now or never

Adam Gontier will throw his opponent upwards for a moment. Now, you have about one second to press the A button again to deal off 10% damage, or otherwise the opponent will only be thrown upwards, and that's it. So basically, you must do this move.....NOW OR NEVER.

~ Final Smash ~

It's all over
ZOMG!!! Three Days Grace has grab the smash ball! As soon as that happens, the band will play the song, "It's all over!"

With this Final Smash, Three Days Grace will start playing on a concert for about 20 seconds, and they are invincible for the first 10 seconds. Remember the lyrics, "When you're on the edge and falling off!!?"

Well, technically it does the same thing for here too. While this final smash is on, if you touch a edge, they cannot use it to recover, and if you do touch, the opponent suffers 20% damage, for everyone time they touch it. This is good for gimping opponents recoverys, without the need to really do anything at all. This goes for all edges by the way, and you should be careful. Of course, the downside is that Adam can still move around, but during those 20 seconds, he can no longer call upon his band mates, so that keeps him at a disadvantage. Still, he's invincible for the first 10 seconds, so that could be useful.

THAT IS ALL.

Needz moar opening description of whether all the group members stand together the whole time and whether or not they can be separated cuz that stuff's basic plox.

I see that it's all laid out in the Down Special, but you really need that kind of thing at the beginning of the moveset.

Canadians are cool.

That layout is awesome. Who did you get it from? That guy (whoever he is) musta been a genius or something.

Seems interesting TWILTY, although I know nothing about the band lol.

Still, great moveset you've got there.

The one thing about it though is that they seem very laggy, but that may just be how I'm reading it .

Edit= Is the genius you K.Rool?

At first glance, Three Days' Grace has very good thought and effort put into it. Though the initial description does not do its job of telling us who this band is; sure you tell us of its CDs, but what about the band? What's the name? Who are the band members and what are they like?

Otherwise, it's impressive.

Also check out poor Micaiah on the previous page :V

O I NO!!! ??????? is Oprah Winfrey and Doctor Phil! For their neutral B Phil sits on a couch, but you can't do that in the air!!!!!!:bee::bee::bee:

Now I demand someone do a moveset like that.
I'd make one, but it wouldn't be remotely funny XD.

In other news, I'm watching Blazing Saddles XD.

I was also thinking Cartoon Page, where a bunch of comic characters come out and attack opponents.

Other ideas:

@ Micaiah (or however you spell it): Great work. She's similar to Estelle in many ways, minus the whole I'm-like-Jesus thing. Anyways, very nice job and I will definitely be voting for her. :)

@ 3DG: Good job. Glad to see K.Rool's template is catching on. It's quite good.

@ Chuck Norris: Sorry, but the one made in MYM3 is wayyy better.

I have fixed Dexter and Wynaut!

For Dexter I:
Changed his D-Tilt
Changed his F-Smash
Bolded attack names
Nerfed his Smashes

For Wynaut I:
Changed his F-tilt
Changed his D-air
Nerfed him generally
Added attack lag
Other minor stuff
