Most of you don't know me. I'm a tournament organizer currently living the midwest. I've hosted 4 of the 6 biggest Brawl midwest tournaments this year. I'm moving to Phoenix in two weeks, and I wanted to jump right in with a bang in the southwest.
My idea is to host a Southwest Regional brawl tournament sometime in November. I don't have a venue picked out yet, since I'm not even living there yet, but my plan is to lock a venue in before the end of October and get things scheduled.
My biggest question to you all is whether people will travel from San Diego, Vegas, Tuscon, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, etc to come to a big 2 day event in Phoenix. I'd like to find a space big enough for 100-200 people, and maybe 20 setups, and include housing for the one night.
I might even hit up the top midwest/MD/VA/Texas players and try to get a handful of them to fly from each region to make this thing big.
What do you all think?
