Thank you Dylan for your questions.
If you where at one of the latest Sneaks (which by the outlet thing I
assume you where) the area from wall to wall and from the back of the
store up to the area that has the peg board minus our computer pod
area is alittle over 1000 sq feet.
We can accomidate 2000 sq feet if need be.
The outlet thing was two fold one we had alot of people hanging out
using the power. One day we had 8 plugs being used at the same time 4
where lap top computers that people where using for games one was even
plugged into our lan and internet. Because people would abuse it we
had to curtail it. For something like this all plugs for the event
are included.
The more tables and chair you guys bring the better but take a look at
what we have 3 couches, 120 chairs and several varies tables. We also
have run lan parties for other venues (Winter Wonder LAN) so we have
4-5 50 ft etension cords (3 3prong ends) and 8-12 power strips the six
plugs.
Hours Mon-thur 12-8
friday 12-9
saturday 10-9
sunday 10-8
I have talked with brad and he is willing to stay later if need be
with the followin provision until midnight additional $25 to him,
until 3am $50 extra.

Maiden Games
Or just put 10 dollars down from each person and call it a MST, which is what we've been doing. I would also like a MST before going to CT.. and maybe get a smashfest in early April.
And now there are no apostrophes. Also, there's no apostrophe in dates like that...
EDIT: And since the tournament on the 31st of March looks to be one that regular MST people are going to, we may as well run it somewhere where there's no hosting fee.
As an official movement, my vote is yes.sooo is there definitely something on the 31st or no?
SOme additional information you can pass on to your forums the area
you'd have would be about 40.5 by 39 feet (1579.5) minus about 100 sq
feet so you'd have just under 1500 sq feet for the $50.
The outlets are 110 volt 15 Amp (standard 3 prong) We have 36 in the
back but use 8 ourselves. They are on 5 different breakers. For the
$100 we'd free up 6 additional outlets but I doubt you'd need more
space or more outlets.
(unnecessary part removed, summary: th0rn and schweppes mind your manners)
Again I take it all in stride, sometimes the place can be a bit of a
clutter. For venues we tend to dress as asked. If all of you are
wearing slacks and button dowm shirts so will we. We also do quite a
bit of cleaning before venues. Right now the floor doesn't look the
best because of the winter and I hope that will not be a big deal.
It may also be helpful to remind people to bring cash. We can run
credit/debit cards but have to charge $2, Also if you chose us then we
will post it on our forums and web sight. That said we encourage you
to get on the forums if we are chosen as the venue the more passionate
the speaker the more people will want to make it down. We are about
one and a half hours from Boston Mass.
If I can think of anything else that would be helpful I will try to
let you know. Any other questions please ask.
John
Wait, who are you?I know im just starting to be recognized as a smasher but i might have a place we can hold the tournament
ive just got to ask my pastor
basically I'm saying, ADVERTISE WELL PEEPS
I hope he does put it on his site so a ****load of noobs come.
Kais will probably update the main post with details like that, ruleset, etc. Just point people to the main post once it's updated.i can round up a lot of noobs.
hey how are tournaments run?
like cost per player?
# of games ppl get to play?
stuff like that.
(never been to a tournament)
What was the point of that? I just posted it like 5 posts earlier...Maine Smash Tourney 10 = March 31 at Morgan's place.
Maine Smash Tourney 11 = April 14th or 28th at Maiden Games.
So you don't like the hat?The one time I went to Maiden Games it was really dirty and fairly greazy. Fat guys with cowboy hats, people without teeth, etc. >_>
@Kais- IIRC, you have to either beat dylan or dustin, or get permission from neil to get in... >_> keekeheehehekeh
Happy birthday, come to the tourney and get caek, lawl. Bring people?4/28 is my birthday. >_>
****, thanks for the notice. I've only been copy/pasting the rules. I'm rather embarrassed I've not revised them as of late.MST11: Happy NusSklertap Day!
>_> I'm so good with those titles.
EDIT: Peter, downgrade DK64 and Rainbow Cruise from neutral teams to counterpick only and have Onett banned. I've seen DK64/Cruise listed on previous MSTs for teams neutrals but never actually used. Onett is something that's usually banned, but for some reason isn't on your list.
This would would solve both the food thing and a store hosting fee..Also since this
will be an all day event Have you thought of food? We have a lot of
local places but if you want we have a pizza warmer you can set up and
use to sell slices of pizza. Get a few from LC at $5 each and sell
the slices for 1-2 dollars each atleast your staff could eat free and
or help to cover the cost of renting the store.
me too4/28 is my birthday. >_>
