Here is the response I received from the store owner of Maiden Games:

Thank you Dylan for your questions.

If you where at one of the latest Sneaks (which by the outlet thing I
assume you where) the area from wall to wall and from the back of the
store up to the area that has the peg board minus our computer pod
area is alittle over 1000 sq feet.

We can accomidate 2000 sq feet if need be.

The outlet thing was two fold one we had alot of people hanging out
using the power. One day we had 8 plugs being used at the same time 4
where lap top computers that people where using for games one was even
plugged into our lan and internet. Because people would abuse it we
had to curtail it. For something like this all plugs for the event
are included.

The more tables and chair you guys bring the better but take a look at
what we have 3 couches, 120 chairs and several varies tables. We also
have run lan parties for other venues (Winter Wonder LAN) so we have
4-5 50 ft etension cords (3 3prong ends) and 8-12 power strips the six
plugs.

Hours Mon-thur 12-8
friday 12-9
saturday 10-9
sunday 10-8

I have talked with brad and he is willing to stay later if need be
with the followin provision until midnight additional $25 to him,
until 3am $50 extra.

Why are we putting it so late??? We have a tourney once a month, if you can't make it, go to the next one. What about the 24th? we dont NEED to have it at maiden games, or just have it there for MST12.

. and maybe get a smashfest in early April.
Or just put 10 dollars down from each person and call it a MST, which is what we've been doing. I would also like a MST before going to CT.

@ Dazwa: Thank you for getting that information ahead of time. I guess it was a better idea to check before we had the date after all.

Okay you guys, this needs to be sorted out once and for all.

This is how it's going to go.

MST10? March 31st. Location? As yet to be determined.

MST11? April 14th or 28th. Location? Maiden Games.

Mst12? Date TBA. Location? I'm going to ask IronChief about his mansion. Otherwise, TBA.

Can everybody deal with this?

No, I still need to check with DJ as to when he's running his tournament. MST11 could either be the 14th or the 28th depending on it.

Also, there's no apostrophe in dates like that...

EDIT: And since the tournament on the 31st of March looks to be one that regular MST people are going to, we may as well run it somewhere where there's no hosting fee.

As to the EDIT, yes I know, hence the "As yet to be determined". I was guessing it just might require more discussion. Can you think of a good place?

On the 31st we could have it at my place which i know would not get as many outsiders as we like but, there would be no entrance fee. Maiden Games though should be the next tournament after the one we MIGHT hold on the 31st. I think that should be held near the end of April, early May so we can see if we can truly pull a good amount of people from out of state.

Trying to hold 3 tournaments in the matter of 4 weeks come on Kais your kidding me right >_>

So MST10 at Chief's house on March 31st, MST11 at Maiden Games on either April 14th, or April 28th, huh?

Dibs on making the MST11 thread.

Also, more details from the store owner

SOme additional information you can pass on to your forums the area
you'd have would be about 40.5 by 39 feet (1579.5) minus about 100 sq
feet so you'd have just under 1500 sq feet for the $50.

The outlets are 110 volt 15 Amp (standard 3 prong) We have 36 in the
back but use 8 ourselves. They are on 5 different breakers. For the
$100 we'd free up 6 additional outlets but I doubt you'd need more
space or more outlets.

(unnecessary part removed, summary: th0rn and schweppes mind your manners)

Again I take it all in stride, sometimes the place can be a bit of a
clutter. For venues we tend to dress as asked. If all of you are
wearing slacks and button dowm shirts so will we. We also do quite a
bit of cleaning before venues. Right now the floor doesn't look the
best because of the winter and I hope that will not be a big deal.

It may also be helpful to remind people to bring cash. We can run
credit/debit cards but have to charge $2, Also if you chose us then we
will post it on our forums and web sight. That said we encourage you
to get on the forums if we are chosen as the venue the more passionate
the speaker the more people will want to make it down. We are about
one and a half hours from Boston Mass.

If I can think of anything else that would be helpful I will try to
let you know. Any other questions please ask.

so maiden games looks awesome for a large tournament, I think we should only do it there if many people from out of state are coming as possible. I don't wanna be paying a venue fee to play people I see regularly, although I would anyway >_>

basically I'm saying, ADVERTISE WELL PEEPS

I hope he does put it on his site so a ****load of noobs come.

also, mst10 at ironchiefs house sounds awesome, even if not many out of staters show up, it'd be like a smashfest with money lolz. DJ GO.

Kais will probably update the main post with details like that, ruleset, etc. Just point people to the main post once it's updated.

Maiden Games would be perfect. It's a ***** to find, so make sure to look at the street names closely.

Out of staters, this is only like a 90 minute drive from mass, and it's not too far from anywhere in New England compared to other venues in the past. I hope to see a lot of out of staters!

Morgan's House is an excellent venue as well, and it's only 30 minutes farther though.

Maine Smash Tourney 10 = March 31 at Morgan's place.

Maine Smash Tourney 11 = April 14th or 28th at Maiden Games.

So you don't like the hat?

The one time I went to Maiden Games it was really dirty and fairly greazy. Fat guys with cowboy hats, people without teeth, etc. >_>

@Kais- IIRC, you have to either beat dylan or dustin, or get permission from neil to get in... >_> keekeheehehekeh
So you don't like the hat?

KDJ just gave me the heads up regarding his tournament. He's running his tournament on the 14th of April, so we'll have to run the Maiden Games MST11 on April 28th.

MST11: Happy NusSklertap Day!

>_> I'm so good with those titles.

EDIT: Peter, downgrade DK64 and Rainbow Cruise from neutral teams to counterpick only and have Onett banned. I've seen DK64/Cruise listed on previous MSTs for teams neutrals but never actually used. Onett is something that's usually banned, but for some reason isn't on your list.

****, thanks for the notice. I've only been copy/pasting the rules. I'm rather embarrassed I've not revised them as of late.

Odd. Onett was used all throughout Cat3 teams. Maybe I should have scheduled a rematch through the Mages...

Another email from the Maiden Games guy...nothing noteworthy (thread-wise) outside of

Also since this
will be an all day event Have you thought of food? We have a lot of
local places but if you want we have a pizza warmer you can set up and
use to sell slices of pizza. Get a few from LC at $5 each and sell
the slices for 1-2 dollars each atleast your staff could eat free and
or help to cover the cost of renting the store.
This would would solve both the food thing and a store hosting fee..
