As for my opinion, if there sources were correct, it wouldn't be suprising if it was right again. Though no mentioning of Ness at the moment is a little scary.

even if the news is true, it needs to be officially announced to be "confirmed".

First off - wow, I'm from GameSpot, I must be lying! Truth be told, I've been a member at GameSpot for well over two years now... I think I joined summer 2005 or so. Again, don't believe me if you so choose. I know that I'm correct, but I also know how difficult it is to believe others over the Internet. I wouldn't blame anyone who thinks I'm lying.

I myself am obviously not an inside source by any means at all, but I've got some VERY close contacts within the gaming industry, some I'm not sure I want to disclose. I'll just say it's not Sakurai, but let's keep it at that.

I was correct on two points, as I've stated. Peach's profile and Pokémon Trainer's profile. Anyone counting those as one point is being a little too technical.

But what about that fake "GamingRing" roster on another site? That wasn't posted by me. The only gaming site I've ever registered at was GameSpot. I've never even heard of "GamingRing".

There's a few recurring characters on most people's lists that only made it as Assist Trophies. Some people won't be happy about a few of those...

Ness is gone.

The next confirmed newcomer will be Lucas.

Both seem to say Lucas is confirmed. Which is awesome, while are "psychic" says Ness is gone, even reidman believes this to be true (since his source said nothing about Ness)

These are the guys that are translating Mother 3 into english for the US, why wouldn't they know a bit of the Brawl Mother information? let alone make up info that they are not sure about.

Matches up with PuroresuGrande's information as well who claims Lucas will be the next new newcomer on the Dojo

I think it's time to face the possibility that Brawl info is being leaked

Well... If true... That makes about as much sense as Lucas being in there in the first place without a Mother 3 state side release...

Provided there not lazy about it... We MIGHT get Ness instead over here... But that would be just a stupid waste of time...

Basically in these case's there's an almost expected unwritten guideline that tells us (If it's new, See Japan first)

Is there anyway that i can play Earthbound (Or...*shudder* Mother)? Or would it involve an illegal procedure to play it?

Note: Don't have anything below GameBoy Colour. :p

Well emulation isn't all that hard to get acquainted if you have a little free time...

But in order to do it legitimately you would need to import the game & connect it to your computer directly with some kind of interface...

There are several such devices available over the net that make that easy enough...

Then using your own game rom you patch the Translation to the rom & from that point forth you could ether play the game on your computer or you could upload it onto a blank cart or some other tipe of device that can be used on a GBA or DS...

Doing all this would only be legal in the states as long as the game is never released in any other shape or form over here...

As soon as that happens (If ever) The game would be reclassified as readily available over here, and as such you would no longer have any right to a backup copy rom (As Nintendo clearly states in the instructon booklets of there games) because american law favors company product laws over general product rights laws...

Well, that's true. I always thought Lucas looked very average, but you should see the story he's in. Although everything looks wacky, the story is kinda dark.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Lucas made it and Ness gets the boot. I read around he was meant to be in Melee to start with, but didn't make because Mother 3 was delayed. But I don't know if that's true.

People with these "I have inside sources, heres some spoilers" stories, are nothing but evil.

Chances are, theyre lying and dying for attention, thus making them lying attention whores.
If somehow their connections are genuine, then they are complete douche bags for spoiling this information for us.

Chances are, starmen.net will be right and people will then start to believe them and ask them to ask their source some questions. Of course, those questions will be denied.

Anyway, I'll keep this in mind for the next newcomer if it is Lucas. This week can only tell us as it's 1 character a week again (methinks because we got two last week because of not getting 1 the week before). Let's see if this is true.

The thing is, Reidman didn't want this information to spread around, and wanted it within the boundaries of the forums of starmen.net, simply because of the general reaction (which is always negative skepticism, where everyone has to be an a**hole).

But I guess it's too late, and people would do it anyway. -_-

they wont get rid of ness, he was the big charecter in the first game and included him in the second. Im pretty sure all the charecters from the first will be staples in ever smash game.

They definitely need more Mother/EarthBound stuff in Brawl. I'm all for Lucas, as long as they differentiate him from Ness in some way.

Why are there so many rumors about characters recently? Almost all of them conflict too. So I for one choose not to believe any of them. Also why can't anyone post any info about their "inside sources".

I'll be leaning more toward the Lucas side about now.
(One of my friends mains Ness and is always asking me about him since he doesn't follow the game and gets his infor through me.)

As long as they have basically the same moves... Will they?

=/ ive looked this up a bit and now im realy sure lucas will be in and im almost sure ness is out, i only used enss in the original ssb so it wont effect me much =/
