Well, I guess I'm at my point with this game now. Thing is, I'm losing interest in this game very fast. My friends in NY know s why I can't go to tourneys, so that leaves me with Wifi. I don't really like Wifi, and all the good players stay in there group so battling them is impossible. I have nothing to fight for so I never try in any matches, I get bored mad quick which affects my thinking in a match. There's nothing I can do.

Maybe I should switch mains for the time being? I just want a fight that will bring the beast out of me again. I demand the best in my opponents. I'm tired of playing warped versions of "play to win". Don't ask me to not sandbag or stop acting like a n00b and call me cheap for it later when you get my 100%(This goes to a handful of you Wifi players not all). With that said, I apologize to anyone I ragequitted against. Even though it's Wifi, there's no excuse for that you deserve better from me. Well, I don't like writing essays so I'll leave it off here. Maybe someone out there can make me remember why I bothered with the game. Hopefully I can go to tourneys soon, I sure miss hanging with the NYC smashers T_T.

Play Melee.

No, I'm serious. Try it out, I've had so much fun when I got bored of Brawl.

I did play Melee recently. I don't have anyone to play it with though X_X (Everyone moved to Brawl), but yeah fun times.

I'm trying not to quit Brawl, I just need that spark again. Though it is hard for me to speak up for it.

Name someone on Smashboards who doesn't play Melee.

It's like saying "breath".

Your friends.

I have nothing to fight for

seriously though, that's your problem. Fight to have fun. give your best, and you'll have more fun. as much fun as you can in brawlawlawl.

If that fails, fight to win. then you end up forcing yourself to give 100%

if that fails, might be the game. Try something like melee, which is a funner game with almost the same characters - or some of the newer games like blazblue.
That is all

It's really really hard to stick with brawl for a alot of reasons like the stages get really boring or their musik kind of sucks when i played we only played on picochat becasue everywhere esle was super boring and broken. And the fact evry minute of playing hurt my eyes and gave me a headache.

plus with all the MKs chainthrow spaming and junk it can't get me like how melee does.

Oh in melee there is no cap. limit to skill so you can always get better and it's really worth fighting for.

One could always try playing a different game than any of the Smashes.

There's other games out there. I particularly like Fable 2 and the Half-life franchise.

Oh, and I don't play Melee. Haven't for a while.

Totally! :mad088:
I'd suggest you move onto another game.
You don't seem to like that game as much as you'd want to. That's all.

Go play real fighters, like KoF! :bluejump:

That game is the reason why I'm considering leaving Brawl . I played it at Chinatown Fair, never put it down since. BlazBlue is also full of win. Anyway, this doesn't mean I'm quitting Brawl now. This just means that I'm losing interest, going to offline tourneys could fix the problem (More fun for me to play offline than online). If nothing works, then I'll happily leave the game.

You don't have anything to motivate you keep playing?

You don't win tourneys so I don't think money is your motivation. Are there people in your scene better than you? Any competition to push you to be better than them? You don't have anything to prove? I for example try to show people that Sonic can compete with the likes of those in the S-A-B-C tiers, but don't you have anything to fight for (anymore?)

Why continue to play something if you don't even have one reason to back it up, you might as well find something else to pass time. Maybe after a break you can come back and something will come up to make you want to keep playing the game.

Don't ask me what you could do in the meantime, I try to be as suggestive as possible, and even though I knew I would hate LOL+ like the poster above me suggested, I tried it just to say that I played it and was rather disgusted with the play instead of hating it for subjective/opinionated reasons. You have to find a passion yourself, who knows, it might be in the last place you expect it.

Play an MMO of some kind. Those are highly interactive and they pass up a lot of time.

Brawl's not really worth it imo (especially if you main a low tier), but it's still a little fun to watch and play whenever you're in the company of your friends from time to time. I'd rather play Melee though.

Not World of Warcraft though, unless you're absolutely sure you don't want to do much else.

I actually won a offline with Sonic :ohwell:. This game just bores me to tears. I also played Brawl+ but I have mixed feelings for it. I can't frequent tourneys so how I'll do with the rest of the state is beyond me.

Fight for your friends
what? someone had to say it
lol XD.

You need to find something to make you keep going or find a new hobby... I think it's the ladder.

Also if you played B+ but have mixed feelings for it, I can only hope you weren't playing Sonic+, he is so terrible he makes the game more awful than it already is, and I question how it can get there.

I'm going to shower.
