Oh for god's sake, a delay the week before it comes out. Sony you sick little *******s I deserve a demo and I deserve it now.

Delayed to "the week of Oct 27th" which I'm assuming simply means it got pushed back a week. Which pisses me off. And now I think Sony owes us a free demo.

Yeah, it's really, really, really sad that instead of just doing a day 0 patch (completely feasible since anyone who wants to play non-stock levels has to be online) they recall everything, even after some people have already broken street date.

GameStop called me about an hour ago, so they're up to date on it. Man...

lol, I got a call at work from Gamestop about the same thing. I thought someone in my family had died or something, so I quickly run to the back to answer the phone and, lo and behold, this is what I get.

Still, it was nice to get the update about. Sucks for the delay though.

Yes, that's what the global recall is for. I'm still angry they didn't just make a mandatory patch for something this easy to fix, but maybe they're just trying to cover themselves. Who knows.

Not everybody has internet, so mandatory patches are generally avoided as much as possible.

Not having internet defeats the purpose of owning LBP unless you can somehow create enough levels (there is a limit I believe) to keep yourself occupied. The community is a huge part of the game, the entire point of the beta was to test it.

It's not very hard to get internet on the PS3 anyway, obviously if you have access to the Smash Boards you have means of connecting your PS3 online (Well unless your on a laptop I suppose). And a router is easy to hook up and whatnot.

Anyway, I found out about this from a call from gamestop first becoming excited they had mentioned Little Big Planet, then dropping the phone and crying when I heard they had delayed it. A sad moment indeed.

However, you can still have fun with it without the internet. Mind you, there can be plenty of fun in Brawl without the wifi (inb4meleefanboy), so there can be a lot of fun in LBP without the wifi.

I'm not sure how faithful this is to the KH Hollow Bastion because I didn't know it existed until 30 seconds ago, but it's an awesome level nonetheless.

I love how Judeo-Christian imagery is lampooned and denigrated and it's protected by free speech, but the minute you quote Allah or sketch Muhammad people declare fatwas. Unbelievable, the amount of leeway extremists are given. This is called appeasement, and history says it doesn't accomplish very much.

I am surprised im so phased by this, after how much abuse Nintendo gave me by delaying Brawl time and time again. Seems like Sony is being racist themselves, acting afraid of Muslims flying a plain into their headquarters or something.

Im getting a copy one way or another on Oct. 21st. There are websites im sure that still have it, or im sure some store will sell. Just no gamestops.

What does 'as much as possible' mean then? If having the games sent out, in stores, and even in some homes and PS3s already isnt the 'impossible' senario, i'm guess there will never be any such thing as a mandatory patch.

Free Speech is not the issue. Legally, I can draw Muhammad being ***** by a billy goat and have no issues at all. The problem is the extremists take it entirely too seriously. Look up how many people died when they published a comedic picture of Muhammad after that Denmark thing a few years back. It may have only been one, but still, that's one too many for something so stupid. Same with the Salman Rushdie thing.

I got my copy today. Newegg came through, delivered it today. Dang, I wish I could have done something like that to get around the 900 brawl delays lol.

Anyway, the game certainly is a gem. If there hasnt been one specific one so far, the PS3 certainly now has it's killer app. This game could be what the system ends up being known for, and if LBP becomes a series, then Sackboy very well could become the PlayStation's mascot, a spot vacant since Crash went multiplatform.

I've heard people are getting their copies today and yesterday from stores that either haven't shipped their copies back to Sony, never heard of it, or just plain ignored them so I'm on a bit of a scavenger hunt to find a store near me with a copy. No luck thus far but I've yet to try Target, which is where most people claim to have found theirs.

I just got a call from Gamestop informing me they would be getting Little Big Planet TOMORROW AFTERNOON. HOORAY FOR ME!

And apparently I'm not the only one. Little Big Planet Website

Be aware that the server will not be up until Monday or later, Gamestop is just breaking street date so if you get yours tomorrow like me don't expect online until Monday.

Uhm, well word around the web is that this is some form of apology from Sony for the delay to all the fan boys that took the time to pre-order their new mascot. So basically, Sony told these places to inform their pre-order costumers that we will receive it tomorrow afternoon. So nobody is breaking street date, we are just being treated for our loyalty, sucks for all the haters that canceled their pre-order when they heard of the delay.

So we will just have to wait and see if they open the servers tomorrow, if so then thats when we should get our Old Sacks and Space Suits.
