Yhea I know that now. And I guess you know who I am... right?

But er, the swords? Didn't notice that, let me have another look...

Edit: All I noticed was the yellow thing at the beginning of the blade was orange for Dark Link.

I have a hunch ;)

Notice that Dark Link's sword handle is colored purple, and seems more "dark" (go figure).
While the blue colored Link's sword seems more majestic and fine.

Yhea exactly what Dyce said. We could have settled this dispute in like... a week and a half but... as you all know. *sigh*
For blue Link I meant his sheave, not the sword handle.
And I had no idea that the Master Sword's handle was always purple and rigid. Huh...
I guess you learn something new each day? =/

(compare the differences between the sheaves)

There is no difference in their sleeves. The darkness of the Dark Link may make the creases look rigged but... it isnt.

There is no difference : P
You're right. I looked at it more closely, they do appear to be the same.
(it was the blueness of the sword slash that was tricking me-- and I said sheaves, not sleeves)

All I'm trying to say is that the shield changes, lol.
I'll be ****ed if that turns out to be incorrect T.T

Hmmm... actually, I was looking through the E for All videos, and I don't think that the shields change...
designs ;o
. However, they DO change colors as I mentioned. Eh, hopefully that doesn't disappoint too many people. So!

  • Purple costume
  • Shield design change
Both of these have been proven to be false. I'm trying my best to make sure my information is 100% accurate! It took me forever to find an E for All video that showed all of Link's color switches. :(

... mmhmm! More updates later.

I hope it wont be incorrect.

But ok... thought you said sleeves : P
Ok, you guys are confusing the **** out of me. Who cares if their sleeves are different, and I haven't seen a single pic with Link nor Shadow Link carrying a wheel.

Now, the design on their scabbards, or 'sheaths' as you may refer to them, clearly change, and I like the affects. Can't wait to see everyone else's costume changes.

Funny how you the article you linked to directly states that a "Scabbard" is a sheath.

...

You gonna get *****!

Funny, how you guys said sheaves, and if you clicked on the wheel link in my post you would know what a sheave is, and that I said sacabbard, also known as a sheathe.

Typo: Him = Me.

Ok let me re phrase my previous statement "Arrogant smart ***" there. But you don't honestly expect us to know exactly how to spell sheath do you? I mean its a pretty obscure word these-a-days.

I do expect you to know how to spell sheathe, because when the zombies attack, and you are out of ammunition for your shotgun, you would need some kind of weapon, and a sheathe would be a much better accessory than a pully, in most situations.

Even in games / movies that involve and fantasy or historical setting they still don't use "sheath" quite as much as you would expect.
I wasn't talking about games and movies. It is irrelevant in those, cause you are either wielding the weapon or not.

Awesome. I love Link... The lack of chain grab ability disappoints me, but all the improvements will make up for it. I hated spin attack anyway.

Eldezar, your problem is that I misspelled "sheathe"?
Please don't spam up my thread just because of that... :dizzy:

On-topic related: No new updates! (wow, what an update, eh?!)

Awesome, it looks like I'll be using Link more than I do Mario. After all Link was my first best character. But then again I'm also pretty good with Mario. AGUH! I'm so confused, mostly everyones been revamped somehow. I wanna use them all.

About time Link is improved, he sucked in melee!
He wasn't all too bad in Melee, much better than some certain characters at least. Link's one of those characters that you have to spend some time to get good with. His general speed is pretty slow, but he has other usefulness such as strong attacks, awesome projectiles, and he's one of the best edgeguarders in the game.

But because of Young Link's swiftness, I tend to use him more ;)

From what I could tell Mario and Link have both been given a big buff in general. They'll both be characters that I play regularly. But don't forget Link's yellow suit! That'll keep you playing as him for years

Here's some more questions, that is if you can still remember all that happened at E4All.

Can Link roll faster?

The boomerang looks as if it has smaller range, is this true?

Is Link's jump (second jump also) higher, smaller or just feels the same?

Link's A,A,A move (that one stab) looks more stronger, can you comfirm this?

Sry if these questions have been asked before (to lazy to look back).

I hate the minor-detail questions :p But I'll try and answer nonetheless.

  • No clue.
  • Not too sure about that. It could also depend on how much thrust the player used on the analog stick, since that determines how far the boomerang goes.
  • Seems just about the same.
  • Stronger? I don't know about that. If anything, it's just as powerful as before.
E for All occured two months ago, I'm likely to be wrong on a few things here and there.
Hope my answers helped!

When you say white costume, do you mean the pink-ish white from Melee, or pure white?

My guess is that it's always been the "pinkish-whitish one" even though it's more of a purple shade than a pink shade. I honestly don't know how people mistake it for being pure white.
