You!It's been a while since I last posted here. Happy Thanksgiving, Link mains!
That's unfortunate..I hope you guys are enjoying Thanksgiving. I now I won't be.
Why?
Casue I don't celebrate it!
You!
Oh, just that you don't celebrate It, Is unfortunate, It's really fun, for me at least, although, I am a Vegetarian. How is it unfortunate?
Well, given that I'm Australian and not American, I have no reason to celebrate it.Oh, just that you don't celebrate It, Is unfortunate, It's really fun, for me at least, although, I am a Vegetarian.
Ah, I see..Well, given that I'm Australian and not American, I have no reason to celebrate it.
Come on now, no need to make up countries. Everyone knows that America is the only real country. :^)Well, given that I'm Australian and not American, I have no reason to celebrate it.
This post completely misses the meaning of Thanksgiving. It's not about giving thanks; it's about primal Americanism of gorging ourselves, watching football, sacrificing a turkey to Baal, then the next day showcasing the glory of capitalism by trampling the old woman in front of you to get the best deal on a big screen TV. God bless America!Thanksgiving should be everyday. Seems kind of stupid that we set aside only one day to give thanks, when we should be giving thanks all the time.
Well, we have our own day of celebration as well. Australia Day!Come on now, no need to make up countries. Everyone knows that America is the only real country. :^)

Anyway, watched the Dreamhack dubs, it was pretty cool. Til I saw HungryBox's hat. This post completely misses the meaning of Thanksgiving.
You get something nice for your girlfr-God, so many deals to go through on Cyber Monday. I can't decide how to spend my money!
we had really good matches the other day :DIts official ive posted 1000 messages. After this message i will finally hit my 1000 message mark.
And why not post my 1000th message where I belong :D
You're the only girl I need. Although @Dumbfire makes a good replacement when you're not around. You get something nice for your girlfr-
oh wait
yea ggs manGuys I have a question, sorry if this is not the place to post it, but let me show you my experience and how I feel so then you can answer my question.
Here is the deal: before 2 weeks ago I was a lot in smashboards, watching video of links and reading the metagame discussions, over the past few months i have read and practice a lot of info about link in smash 4, 2 weeks ago I was able to fight 2 high lvl link players im my country in ditto matches (i know you cant measure your skill lvl in dittos alone but it was really bad). none of them know how to bombslide, (I can do 3 bombslides 85% to 90% of the time) and they dont even have an account in smashboards of watch video of other link players.
as a side note the play a lot offline matches while I play a few times offline and a lot online.
This was the result of our matches
6-0 vs Alin the best link player
6-1 vs Junito the 2nd best.
Why do you think i failed to win, any advice?? insight??
And during the fights I really felt the were both better players overall than me.
thanks for the advice and critique :D

nice link as always :D
Regarding the "Why do you think i failed to win, any advice?? insight??", my newby guess would be that being able to perform advanced techniques will not make one better until played at a higher level. Sometimes pure experience beats out knowledge. As a documentary kid, I remember Ken saying in his first match against Sephiroth that he didn't even know how to wavedash or catch items on air but managed to win. That might be related.Guys I have a question, sorry if this is not the place to post it, but let me show you my experience and how I feel so then you can answer my question.

Here's your problem:Finally I want to have a brief word about how you should use this thread. If you want to learn more about your character, then you've come to the right place. If you want to be a better player, then what you're after is a guide, not an AT thread. Fancy tricks can never be a replacement for poor fundamentals.
I play a few times offline and a lot online.
Play Ocarina of Time first, since Majora's Mask is the inferior game.I've decided to finally get around to playing through Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time over the holidays, since I'm horribly behind on my list of completed LoZ games.
Does anyone have any suggestions on which one with which I should start?
OoT. MM is a direct sequel to OoT so play them in order.I've decided to finally get around to playing through Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time over the holidays, since I'm horribly behind on my list of completed LoZ games.

Ah!OoT. MM is a direct sequel to OoT so play them in order.
Is it really? I thought it was a sort of spin-off game that wasn't relevant to any of the Zelda games.OoT. MM is a direct sequel to OoT so play them in order.

Ah I see. I played MM when I was extremely young (didn't even beat it) so I would have never known lol.
Thanks man i think i have improved a little bityea ggs man
Keep up the good work
I know online and offline are 2 different things but i leave really far away from everyone here and get only to play a few competitive players once a month, and i wasn't talking about FG but playing online with people in th3 ladder. Any suggestions?Well I did make a point of stating this at the beginning of the AT thread.

I am rather new to all this myself but I think getting a training partner and gaining experience through playing is the best way to get better with the fundamentals. I am in the same boat you are with all that, only my school's internet is awful so I can't even play online. CPUs all day. Thanks man i think i have improved a little bit

I feel you, its really hard to improve like that : but i can tell you ive played with 1mb and 3mb internet speed and it really doesnt lag that much at least with the people ive played with, and i hear no complaints from their end.I am rather new to all this myself but I think getting a training partner and gaining experience through playing is the best way to get better with the fundamentals. Master Sword and Hylian Shield Hands DownIn the interest of getting discussion going, what are your favorite LoZ items/weapons?
What comes to mind are:
Clawshot/hookshot- fun to use, works like an infinite ranged weapon, looks cool, lends to more complex puzzles.
Magic rod- This can OP as heck in some LoZ games (like LA).
Cane of Burma- makes magic blocks that work for puzzles and as a weapon, cool premise.
Epona- she has great personality and the feel of riding, especially in TP, is awesome.
Transformation Masks from MM- need I say more?
Ocarina of Time- the instrument you can actually play songs on.
Ball and chain- it's a more fun version of the hammer, which is already cool.
Ice/fire arrows as used in Majora's Mask- altering the environment is very cool, why don't more LoZs do this?
Gale Boomerang- very cool evolution of the classic boomerang.
