That radical classic sounds like something out of a horror movie. Can't do horror stuff. I like classical though, so there's moments when I'm torn and I actually appreciate it. And while I get that the point is to sound random and unstructured, there are patterns, or at least rules that you can pick out. It's more like they're not playing in unison in the more random parts, but nevertheless it's not completely unstructured.
I definitely like metal. Damn those are some good songs. Reminds me of ACDC.

Amaranthe just came out with a new album recently called Massive Addictive. It has a little more screamo vocal than what I'd prefer, but it's not to the point where it destroys the songs. The interesting part is that they utilize a standard female voice, standard male voice, and compliment parts with a screamer. It's cool to see how they make it flow. They are more dance-metal than anything. It's pretty sweet.

I think all KH fans' favorite KH song is Rage Awakened. It plays during the fight with Terra in Kh2 final mix (and the upcoming KH 2.5 HD remix) and Terranort in KH Birth By Sleep. Terra's one of the hardest secret bosses in Kingdom Hearts history besides Sephiroth, and I think the music is what makes it memorable.

I keep wondering if I should add "'Gay'- Toon Link" to the Link specific jargon in the smash dictionary XD. I'm not sure I want to go there. The Toons will hate me.
But it would be so funny.
I can always be like, hey don't hate on me, I'm just recording what I see. I didn't make it up.

For the record. I actually avoid talking about Gay, but when push comes to shove I will pretty much only refer to him as 1 of 2 names: "Gay" and "Tink".

You know what, listening to the album, I actually really like it, and the screamo bits aren't like... I don't know, unnecessary XD? Having it in smaller segments is surprisingly refreshing even. It's kind of like how people that don't like swearing will nonetheless be perfectly ok with seeing it in a movie or something so long as it's called for and completely understandable, to be expected even.
I'm definitely going to listen to the whole album. It's so unique.

I definitely prefer the latter two over the first one. The first one seemed a bit too crowded, like there were too many things doing something different and all trying to be the dominant tune, and this was fixed I felt when they softened all the other things in the other two versions to bring out the violin. I prefer the violin in the second, but I really like the emphasis they gave the organ in the third, plus that kind of more 'electronic dance' sounds for the rhythm in the third go well with the overall feel. I think on the whole I'd have to go with the third.

That's why Ganon grew a beard between Melee and Brawl, to show the manliness it required to play him in that game. Feel free to play whoever you want, but just be honest with yourself about why you're switching mains. Is it because it feels right, or just because you want to win more? Remember that one of the factors that killed Brawl's meta was everybody defecting their mains for MK and other top tiers, just to score and easy win. Ganon still seems stupid because of hi being a Falcon Clone. Though if people like, then people like him. simple as that. Yeah, I used to be so tier focused on the characters I play, now I only choose characters that I find extremely fit, comfortable to play and not to mention, fun. And that's why I choose Young Link and Toon Link over Link. Because when ever I play as Link, while fun, I hate how sluggish he is, but the the younger version, something seem to click better, especially Young Link. Though for some reason I really enjoy playing Robin, despite him being sluggish. He just so fun, so perfect.

That was a pretty interesting observation. The Bbs version does have that sort of dance feel, which is fitting for the battle if you haven't seen it (not gonna give any spoilers). Personally, I prefer the second one since it makes the battle feel super intense. I like the feeling of having to stay on my toes, and the staccato in the background adds to that. If I'm compelled to stay on my toes, I'm more likely to survive the fight. This is also true for Smash battles: if the setting feels right to me (music and stage), I'm more likely to perform much better than if i chose a bland stage with unfitting music.

Just another great reason why music is important in life.

Thanks man. Truth be told, it's sort of a hobby/interest of mine. The first 6 I posted are in my currently being considered list, and maybe like three of them will make it through. The latter 5 were taken from the permanent list. There's another 200ish songs where that came from. They don't follow any particular style because I like so many different styles of music, but the vast majority don't have singing (for reasons). They are mostly made up of game music with some movie/anime music and even less of everything else.

does anybody else HATE those online fighters who leave after one battle?
win or lose, in a close match you'll often have opponents who flee after a single game.
i mean don't me wrong, i'll leave if i'm being schooled by somebody but only after a few games where i've used all of my mains against them.

it's like all they care about is their win % instead of having a solid, close game to really test themselves.
even if they win, they'll leave to search for an easier opponent.
often i'll come up against a pesky projectile samus and lose, so i want to try again as link instead and show them what REAL projectiles are, but they've already left...

i know win %'s are recorded but who even cares?
ultimately it is of course their choice who to fight but i would much rather test myself against an opponent of a similar skill level then be bored by some scrub who SDs after you take a stock from him.

I like to think that I'm fairly open minded when it comes to music, but I can't bring myself to like screamo/deathmetal or whatever it's called. It's not from a lack of trying either. Like I'd probably enjoy an instrumental version of that second song that Drunken_Master linked for example, because I was perfectly fine with it until the singing came in; I just don't have the stomach for that sort of thing. It's like how I can't do scary games or movies. I just can't do it. It's a skill really. I'm not dissing that style of music at all. I just personally can't listen to it.

One note, never, EVER, equate metal to "screamo" they are completely different genres. It's a pet peeve of mine as a life long metalfan that people confuse the two.

The summon gate is a terrible weapon. I've gotten close to getting the lv3 but took a minute too long. It takes forever to beat Link in that mission. The only good move the summon gate has is (iirc) weak, weak, weak, weak, strong to summon Argorok to fly forward with fire.

It could be scary but it just fails to shock after a while. Everything is like, whatever. Blah.

That really bugged me about the other game he played, Endless Nightmares. So many inconsistent, conflicting mixed metaphors! Get a good story down and stick with it. Throwing out cliches for no reason isn't scary.
