Tap Jump ON, press UP on the control stick, then DOWN on the C-stick at almost the same time.

Ridiculously easy with that method

Nice sounds sweet, also can't you do it multiple times in a row?

Like in the video. Or is that mad hard?

It's actually quite simple.. They link into each other pretty easy and you don't need insanse timing skillz. :)

Nice, that sounds good.

I got the hang of just one now so I'm gonna try to string them together.

Put your thumb over the Y and A button, and in a wave-like motion, press the Y button and immediately afterwards, press the A button.

Like in this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyZUlALAArc

What you are actually doing is inputing a command during the jump startup animation to buffer an aerial to come out the first frame you leave the ground. This is an extremely important technique to learn in order to have a basic understanding of how Brawl itself works.

Like in Melee, you actually have to wait for your character to leave the ground before you input an aerial. In Brawl, you don't have to wait for that. You can just immediately input the aerial before you leave the ground and it will come out 1st frame possible.

The way I see it, is that there is no reason to have Tap Jump off with Gdorf. You almost NEVER want to use his U-tilt, and having tap on makes it easier to get your full hopped aerials out as quickly as possible.

In conclusion: Up on control stick, Down on C-stick. It is very difficult to miss a "lightning storm" in this way.

Personally, I prefer to use my L button as jump. I turn tap jump off, and just hit L + Down on the C-stick. In addition to that, you can use the control stick to press left or right in order to get whatever manner of DI into the thunderstorm as you need.

Make things a lot easier imo.

if you tap jump and immedietly smash down on the c-stick....ypu can laglessly down air......(rythmic repetition for thunderstorming)

This is what i usually do and it works so that i dont have to change how im holding the controler

Well, not exactly. The L-trigger doesn't do anything until you press it all the way down, that means the spring is useless. This causes the 'actual time that it becomes pressed' to be poorly defined and harder to time things. I still use it for full hopped aerials sometimes.

Interesting, I never really knew that.

I thought you can just press it and you jump. That definitly changes my mind set.
