you beat me to it. you skank.roll to edge so your back's turned to the edge
light shield
angle the light shield offstage
As far as I am aware, one does not need to let go of the shield to perform this (unless I somehow subconsciously do it myself =/). I have also seen the would-be edge-guarder plummet downwards; I believe that that is caused by absolute pixel-perfect spacing on the up-B return, although that is a rare occurrence indeed. To add onto this, do you have to let go of your shield as you get hit for this to work? A friend of mine tried to do this to me the other day as I was recovering, and instead of grabbing the ledge he went flying below me. He claimed it was because he didn't let go of the shield.
Johns or is there something else to it?
I think there are other reasons for failing a lightshield edgeguard though. As far as I am aware, one does not need to let go of the shield to perform this (unless I somehow subconsciously do it myself =/). If he gets past you and lands on the stage, you will still fall to hanging on the ledge. Then its time to ledgehop over him and bair him back out/drill shine him off stage.my best friend plays marth so i will try that on him..
