What do you mean by that last part?

@ PP because i got liang'd.
Falco can laser away on most of the stages that are banned for camping(Corneria/Japes/Floats/I don't remember them all because they're gay and I like girls), but he's not quite as good as it as Fox is because Falco is much slower and less mobile in the air, and his gun is much slower. Slower gun=takes longer to rack damage and less mobile=harder to get away.

So yeah, it's still kinda bad, but EASIER to deal with. Still gay lol.

Edit: @ DJ: WC can't camp LOL.

I don't know. I don't even have an -educated- opinion on the matchup in general, let alone to say so for that stage lol.

Hang on DJ, ima edit some thoughts in here.

If I were to say that Sheik wins there, then I'd be saying that she could get around Falco's lasers similarly to the ways that she could on most other stages(which she can on longer parts of the stage like seal or something). I'd also say that, because there aren't any real "edges" for Falco to grab, Sheik would have an easier time gimping Falco there than on other stages. I'd also argue that Sheik could catch Falco because his low mobility is more likely to get intercepted at more points in the stage than if Fox were laser camping. There might even be a small part of the argument that could say that Sheik could even escape Falco's combos by hiding underneath something so that when he approached(which he would have to do at least once for a kill) he couldn't pop her up enough to get guaranteed moves.

Now, if I wanted to say that Falco wins there, I'd say something to the effect of "Falco can still see Sheik coming and move away. His jumps give him more vertical mobility so he can escape to higher parts of the stage(sudowoodo's branches, wooper, chikorita, weezing arguably, etc), and he can still forward B to a completely different part of the stage(which would counter any "but what about the Unknown?" arguments if the Falco knew his forward B spacing) so he could set up camping again."[I hate it when I use useless quotation marks] I'd also argue that the stun Falco's lasers give lessens the difference between Fox's and Falco's lasers(in terms of damage dealt per camping from a given spot vs a Sheik). Sheik has no "edges" to go to as well, so Falco could punish Sheik's recovery much harder, and there are also several opportunities to kill Sheik with a spike(many open places) or maybe even off the top(shines/shine to up-B).

There's probably more for both sides, and some obvious(and not so obvious) counterarguments here, but this is basically what I think about that matchup on Floats.

Well my first thought was that sheik > falco on this map being that sheik can adapt to the randomness of the stage much more proficiently.

My 2nd thought is that falco could laser camp being that the stage is wack.

My 3rd thought is that when I first saw this post I was like 'ahhh..... i'll read this later'.

My thoughts.

id think falco has to work much harder to adjust his combos to fit the changing scenery. but i'd have to play this a lot more to find out

MBR ruleset is a suggestion for TOs, but it is highly recommended that TOs use most/all of the format since top-level players and TOs(alex strife and plank are in the MBR) work on making the list **** for the current metagame.

I dislike PF because its like of a "HAHA WERE GOING TO FLY THROUGH THIS **** SO YOU CAN'T EVEN STAY STILL FOR A BIT," as opposed to RC which is like "yeah dude you can chill on that boat for awhile, its not a problem."

Well, Falco would probably only go for combos on more static scenery(assuming a campy Falco and more static being something like slowpoke[with tail up/just going down, seal, psyduck?, maybe others]), so I think the big deal maker here is whether Falco can keep away from Sheik long enough to make the few hits he could get kill/push Sheik away long enough to set up camp again.

Of course, if Falco has to end up trying to combo more often than I think he would(just because his limited mobility forces him to), then I guess that's a strong point in sheik's favor. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it, but it is interesting.

I've only done moving levels against Fox in tournament but in my experience (which includes friendlies, sadly) I think if Sheik stays ahead of Fox/Falco on the level's track she's okay. Even if she gets ***** for most of the level, forcing Fox/Falco to approach her by staying ahead and acting as barrier between them and the next section of the stage is a hindrance for them.

It's much less effective on Pokefloats, however, because there are much more platforms and more ways to get from one part of the level to the next. Excluding Venusaur, anyway.

@DJ: wtf lolno. Beat Falcons first plz.

@KK: Does this mean you typically think Sheik loses to Fox and Falco? Do you think Sheik loses more than usual(or loses at all) to Fox on Floats?

dj i googled semienneaweeklies to see if it was a real word and this is the only result. I got trolled.

Judging from context I'd say he means positioning.

RC is much better than floats, imo...I think this almost solely due to having flat surfaces. I'm mainly talking about wavelands, but you can move kinda fast and do some pretty cool stuff on RC sometimes. I like the general stage positioning that you and your opponent wind up in better as well.

Floats on the other hand is just ******** in my view; jumping on moving, lopsided pokemon may be the explanation for this.

ps. I read your post pp... i was just kind of watered lastnight.

and floats is a ******** stage that should never have been legal for singles. it has no ledges. what is this Super Mario Bros. ****.

but for teams is kinda sweet imo. still gay though. but im only saying that cause l0zR gave me my first 0-Death on that stage. ****in snorlax.

DUDU STAGE!!!

I don't know much about teams, but I'd say that Floats nullifies Fox's camping while intensifying any other gay aspect of the stage(no edges, moving stage, glitches that people can fall through, etc).

LoZR probably gave me my first 0-death on FD lol.
