Hmm...well...it's snowing here too. I just hope it doesn't last for long and that the roads are fine tomorrow. I really am looking forward to this tourney.

We will still show, cause we haven't had snow in a long time. I am gonna bring a heavy coat and some thermal underwear and make snowmen.

Hail yeah!!! I'm down for making a snowman. Reminds me of a conversation I had with S. Marth a few minutes ago on aim. He said he was going to make a marth snowman and a link snowman. The marth one would f-smash link to his death. Then I came back saying the link one would throw a bomb before marth could get a smash attack off. Link reigns supreme!!! Funny how a little snow can make you think of the weirdest things.

We're getting some of the white stuff over here Marth, though it's ashame that it won't stick very well due all of the rain preceeding that preceeded the snow. It's all good and well though, as I shall be throwing "slush" balls left and right. En guarde!

PS: Tournament is still a-go, unless I receive word from Lan Matrix. As for money matches, I'll take on anybody willing for $5 or less. I still owe Pwn Zone, JC, and Mookie mm's from INN v2. If you guys plan to come, post here if you're still up for those at this tourney.

@ Lance: LOL - isn't it great when you get money for doing nothing? :chuckle:

PSS: As for setups, anybody who is able to bring a GC, cables, and SSBM, please let me know! There are already 2 complete setups and 4 TVs at Lan Matrix, though I doubt we'll need to bring more than two more setups. 4 total should be enough for this tournament, but the next one is gonna raise the effin' roof! I'll be discussing with Josh of Lan Matrix about hosting tournies every three weeks or something of the like. I've also chosen a tentative name for these tournaments. Feel free to post your own suggestion as well, and I'll choose the final and let you know. "Zero Tolerance" is my pick. Discuss.

I guess with the snow and all, everyone has been calling up to Lan-Matrix making sure the tournament is still a go. Lance did the same thing. As shikami stated, its still on. Just to make sure everyone knows again, the tournament will start at 6:00pm and go to whenever it is finished. The people at Lan-Matrix suggest getting there an hour early. That will be used for warmups and mm's and friendlies. As for the rules, I heard that they have their own set of rules they go by. I dont think that would sit well with us since we are all used to the standard MLG rules. But I guess we can let the people there know that.

As for setups, I think I have a tv I can bring, but dont put me down just yet. I have to test it out and everything.

OH Snow! All you guys are a buzz kill. Makes me sad that you dont want the snow to stick. I was freaking out at school while it was happening. The roads didnt seem that bad and that was out here in Millington. Im sure they got the crap to make the roads ok in Memphis. Regardless i will try to be there anyways.

Handorin-Allow me to go english teacher and say it is "stuck"...I think.

I also dont think the roads are going to be bad. At least ice wise. I live back in the middle of nowhere, the place where ice breeds, and its fine. I tried my hardest and couldnt slide.:urg:

Ya ya, I meant stuck >.>

I was walking down a driveway expecting to slip on ice, but I didnt walk on any. None of the water froze yet.

I hope this weather doesn't drastically change attendance. :(

@ McCloud: I understand. These roads + Memphis drivers = impossible. At least you have the snow to enjoy. I had a bunch of my friends over yesterday just hanging out and sledding down some hills in the neighborhood. Hot chocolate > all. Just make sure to attend the next one ;)

I'll bring a TV and cube if you make my entry fee $5, despite the fact that I didn't call in yesterday.
Don't worry about bringing a TV, but if you can bring a cube + copy of SSBM I won't mind making your entry fee $5.

The roads are fine. Well, the neighborhood roads are fine at least, so the main roads should definitely be ok.

Its even more doubtful for me now.
My dad said "We (my parents) talked and decided this is too early. We want to see more improvment in your grades.
Me: "But Im passing now" *shows grades*
Dad: "Ok, well we will talk again."
Me: "And i prepayed long before all this grade thing, so you owe me $5 if I cant go."

Ya so basically, chances look slim.

The roads arent bad at all. So we will be there. I look forward to playing everyone. As for the crew battle, that sounds like it would be fun!!! I guess we can try and get something together. I know there might be some dispute as to who would play on TN's side since there will be two whole crews there from our area. But we can try and work something out. If anything, this will be a fun night!!!

Ah man, I'd be all up for a crew battle as well. Like SmashterLink said though, no clue how the crew for TN would be decided (if we do get to have the crew battle). I'm sure something will be figured out though.

The most we could go with is (edited again) 6, since that's all we're bringing. We could double some dudes up and go 10-12. There will probably be some TN guys not interested, also. I think it would be fun, though.

Did you just spell MookieRah as "mukira"? HAHAHA.

Pwnzone-I think 10-12 people is overkill in a crew battle. I think we can come to a compromise. Being the Volunteer State everyone is willing to sign up. I know I may not be the best choice so i won't put myself in the hat unless a spot needs to be filled.

Anyone else think we should change our catch phrase from the Volunteer State to the TopTeir State? Just a thought.

Well I'm not in a crew, so I won't be taking part in a crew battle unless you guys want me too. Should be fun to watch though. As for doubles, we can play some of those after the tournament concludes as friendlies or MMs if you guys want.

@ Mario: I like the sound of that. "Top Tier State" :bigthumbu

The bloodline will be kyo, ichigo, duke, and iori. We don't mind doing a crew battle. By the way the only reason why im posting is because kyo's internet is down. Plus its kinda fun. i cant wait to try out my new falco who wants to fight for the best falco

Yeah, I was joking about 10-12, especially at a small tourney like this. You guys just gotta pick your swiftest 5 or 6.

And me/JC are all about some team cash battles.

I dont see that problem with money matches. And if you have will power you can always so NO. Not that hard. Not like they are going to beat you up.
