Jeez! Her vocals are so smooth yet powerful! And her vibrato oh my gaaa!

Oof! This is gonna take a while to analyze, but I just love it soo much!

Stress, I and Farewell are standing out though!

KPOP comes in a lot of weird stuff lol.

What kinds of music do you usually listen to? Or are you open to anything?
Anything except country. I ditched teen pop not too long ago as well.

I love KPOP! In fact, I used to own a popular YouTube channel consisting of KDrama OST lyric videos before I shut it down. My most popular video reached over a million views. I kinda regret closing it now. :(

I think we're all still rolling over the Magical Explosions that were fx's 4 walls album and Brown Eyed Girls' Basic album

Damn 2015! What the heck! how can so many amazing things come in 1 year!

What is this year like, the beginning of the Modern Enlightenment!?

like seriously, there have been so many good singles, mini-albums and albums to come out this year. So Crazy!

Though Brown Eyed Girls are a bit too direct/explicit for me, I think the songs on this album are frikkin amazing!!!

And I'm a full blown sucker for strings.

4 walls, although it isn't the 'best' song on the 4 walls album, is IMO the best track to use as the lead single for the album, as all of the other tracks, were more akin to stuff fx has done in the past, so it was definitely best to put this one out there first as it is both excellent, and different from fx's usual territory.

Gosh! I can't talk about both of these albums at the same time, so I'm gonna listen some more, then come back.

But for now,

My top 3 on 4 walls: Papi, When I'm Alone, 4 walls

My Top 3 on Basic: Brave New World, Warm Hole, Fractal

I'll check out demonstrate as well. :D

4 Walls is nice to dance to. The album isn't bad but the only song I truly like is Traveler. Then again, this isn't my type of music to begin with. I have listened to all of their albums but end up deleting them soon after.

Really love Zeze and Glasses from IU's new album. Most of her music is quite nice.

As someone who has never really heard much kpop, what are some essentials that I should listen to?
"Essentials"... when I see this word, I think of the earlier foundings of today's KPOP. Not the true foundings, but rather 2007-2010 when everything was taking off. I wouldn't say I like many of these songs, but they're ones most people know.

TVXQ: Mirotic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtJS32n6LNQ
(Alternatives: most other TVXQ songs; they were "kings")

Anything from Girls' Generation, particularly Gee, which you probably already know. Their debut song:

Bigbang: Haru Haru
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzCbEdtNbJ0

Most viewed KPOP video ever, I believe:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAbokV76tkU

Wonder Girls: Nobody (skip to 2:00), the song that made KPOP groups what they are today
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZBn1e9pr2Q

Brown Eyed Girls: Abracadabra
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofwFr8o8p0Y

Super Junior: Bonamana
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSOSxwEWFA4
(Alternatives: It's You, Sorry Sorry)

SHINee: Lucifer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dww9UjJ4Dt8
(Alternatives: Ring Ding Dong)

2NE1: I Don't Care (was crazy popular in Korea)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdZya6yATn0
(Alternatives: I Am The Best)

****, some of these are SO funny hahahaha.

So everyone, I got to see Apink last Saturday! Greatest time I've had in a while. Really helped me get over some lowkey relationship issues lol.

I was able to get a ticket for the Meet & Greet and the pit area closest to the stage. The members looked pretty much like how I expected them to be, except a lot whiter from the makeup lol. Naeun and Eunji are seriously much prettier in person, especially because Eunji was always talking to the crowds and individually during the photo sessions and hi-touches. Such a talkative and active personality. Bomi also was the same energy; jumping around and saying "Hi" to everyone. The rest were fairly quiet. I finally understood what people meant by "goddess Naeun". I always thought she was the prettiest member, but when you actually see her you definitely understand it.

The staff wanted us to move along really quickly, but luckily there was a guy in crutches in our group that slowed down the process a bunch LOL. The staff directed me to sit in front of Eunji for the photos and we talked a good minute of simple English phrases. Managed to speak in some Korean as well and also told Eunji I was "93라인!" "아,진짜? ;)". Naeun and Eunji's English were surprisingly better since the last time I saw them speak it. They understood more than I thought they would. The other members were understandable too, but not to the same degree of speech.

Lowkey, I think Naeun and I met eyes way too many times when she was on stage :yeahboi:. Got to dialogue a little with Bomi during the crowd interaction section of "What's in the Box?". Told her the octopus she was touching was something "safe and delicious". She nodded, touched it, and immediately jerked back and screamed lmao. Chorong's dolphin screams too. Eunji just grabbed it like the boss she is and guessed correctly.

We weren't allowed to take pictures or videos, but I managed to sneak in a few horrible ones towards the encore. I didn't really like doing it tbh. I really enjoyed the experience for what it was:
