Explain what the removal of my slot "nets" you. This isn't a mafia game in which flips can lead to connections which can lead to lynches. You're not lynching me for information (even if you were, what would you do with that information?) This is a one-shot opportunity to remove scum, period. You either think that I'm scum, with no qualifiers, or you don't.

The removal definitely should be used on someone toDay, but resigning it to me just because Gheb pulled a Gheb two Days ago is lame. I get that most people are probably cool with it because it's easy and it's been the plan for a while and legitimately considering all the options would take much more work. Plus, let's be honest, plenty of you probably have individual wincons that benefit from fewer players being in the game, even if that means eliminating players that are technically aligned with you (this is a tournament, after all). But if that's the case, then I really have very little incentive to bother with this game anymore. Not much I can really do against "well, Gheb seemed scummy so...."

Okay, let me weigh in on this because this is the one thing you've said that isn't somewhat of a hurr durr thing. This isn't just because Gheb pulled a Gheb. Gheb legitimately said some dumb as hell things and then just left the game and has done nothing since. That slot left on about the most sour note I can imagine and since you've gotten here, you've done nothing to resolve this read. You've played passive, played mechanically, and have given me little. You refuse to read and while I don't blame you for that, you haven't done anything to progress in this area of the game.

I mean, ****, if you were given the gun who would you remove right the **** now?

This isn't just "I don't like Gheb." It's keeping spectrum with the whole game. I've just come away from the rope far enough to listen to more arguments.

Look, I knew when I replaced in that I had teleported into a sinking slot, but do you really think that I would have bothered posting once if I didn't think there was a chance that I could right the ship? Gorf knows I have better ways to spend my time. What I'm finding is that I'm stuck in a whirlpool of laziness from which there is no escape (gotdam im a poet with these metaphors good thing i got my edgar allan poe on).

When I mentioned people having individual wincons that benefitted from removal, I wasn't talking about wincons that specifically revolve around removal. I'm talking about wincons like "win the tournament" or "make it to the finals" or "get into the winner's bracket" that must be in this game. Anyone with a wincon like that benefits from anyone who isn't them getting removed. Any game with indiviual wincons naturally lends itself to more self-preservative play.

And I get it. Even what I'm doing now is self-preservation. Do I have an option to give you that is overtly better than me for the removal? Not really! I can tell you that pawn's inactive as **** and that could signify scumplay, especially in a game like this in which lurking can't be punished as easily, but it also very well may not. I can tell you that PJB's jump on me for the shot on Rake is grimy to me, but there's nothing concrete I can point to—that anyone can point to—that will really give us a sure scumpick. I just don't want to die and I don't feel I deserve to.

Like I said, I'm not being defensive; I'm just telling it like it is. I'm not posting here for my health or for the fun of it. If my removal is truly a foregone conclusion, then that's just the way it is and I'll live with it. But tell me that now rather than later. No, I don't have to view it from your POV. I see your POV. You don't have any better leads, nor any way of acquiring better leads. So defaulting to me is easy.

Look at it from my POV. I haven't done anything scummy. I replaced someone who did. I've been trying to wrap my head around the game for the past full phase and a majority of the people who wanted my slot gone before I replaced into it still want it gone because apparently guilty-until-proven-innocent is how we're playing this.

That's why I don't feel I deserve to die. It isn't my play that my slot is being judged on. I just haven't adequately dug myself out of the hole that Gheb put me in. Like I said, I get it. It just feels ****ty.

You've seen exactly what I've seen in regards to PJB. That either surmounts the issues you have with my slot or it doesn't. In a situation in which everyone was wondering what happened and trying to piece things together, PJB turned to the new kid and said "blame him."

Pawn read is nothing more than "most inactive slot in a game that has the potential to reward inactivity yet he always shows up for matches and wins."

That's just info for scum to use. We've already established that claiming such information is dangerous considering the Telephone MAF is still around to cause havoc. I'm against removing Circus over Pawn.

Circus what have you gotten read wise from what you have been able to read?

PJB is my top choice for removal, period. Rake's flip and the reactions to it are the closest we've come to information better than meta and hunches, and PJB's reaction is the worst one I saw. Not just because he pointed the finger at me, but because he was so quick to point the finger at all.

Aside from that it's tricky. If this were a normal mafia game, I would feel very confident saying Ran is town based on his dogged, offensive play and players like Washed and soup are tentative town for at least looking like they're trying to do the right thing. Visible pro-town intent, but not players you take your eye off of. GLG also probs town for throwin' matches like a good dog.

But since this is NOT a normal mafia game and the normal consequences do not apply and therefor people are able to get away with play that they would not be able to get away with in other games, that all becomes a lot muddier.

Pawn, Seph, Koops basically don't exist to me and that would go for any kind of game.
