I am still having a hard time, but mostly i just keep hoping around until they move in with it now.

That's probably just from a lack of experience. Just keep playing until you can death touch Falco with upsmash post 40%, edgehog him consistently and stuff his approaches with nair. If lasers are an issue than just waveland onto a platform.

I'm having trouble with the Fox matchup atm. I just feel like his neutral is so much better, and that I get punished by him so hard. If I get naired, they get a shine>usmash, or uthrow>uair (and maybe I can get the SDI). And edgegaurding a sheik seems to not be too difficult, so at the very least, it seems like I'll get shine>usmashed whenever I get hit off stage. I've been reading what other people think about the matchup, and it seems that people are saying that Sheik wins with her edgegaurds, but I find it hard to edgegaurd fox since he seems to have so many options offstage with his firefox and illusion. Just wondering if anyone had anymore insight on how Sheik can win this MU.

Just to expands a little more on specifics of what I feel like I need help out:
In neutral, I feel like once fox gets even a nair on my shield, I can't escape. If I roll, they follow my roll. SH nair OoS seems to work sometimes, but a lot of times, fox's nair is spaced, and then I get punished.

I also feel like I need to punish harder. I was wondering about how dash attack>dair works? It seems to work sometimes, and other times it doesn't. Are there any cues for when I can go for this? Similar question with usmash. I was wondering when I can/should end a combo with usmash.

Needles are really important for edgeguarding fox. If you can hit him in his Firefox charge with a needle you might as well. Ledgehopped bairs are good for edgeguarding as are downsmashes. If he recovers high you can catch him with the top of utilt as he falls and you can combo him hard off that.

I would only end a combo with a tipped upsmash if it'll kill fox off the top. Otherwise I'd rather slap them or something to edgeguard them.

How consistent is your tech chasing? Your punish game should be pretty intrinsically strong because of how much damage fox will eat off a dthrow tech chase.

Fox is stronger than you in neutral and you have to cope. Once he's at ftilt knockdown percent (24% fresh), Ftilt is a really good tool for stuffing him and getting a tech chase or combo off it. I think in another thread recently someone said in neutral when a fox comes at you you can ready with WD back grab, WD back Ftilt, SH back fair. The fox will likely try to rush you down so reacting defensively like this will score you punishes. SH fair also isn't bad in general. It's really easily to safely space on shield too.

Oh needles are really good too. If you never needle vs fox you should start.

You don't want to be caught in your shield constantly against fox idt. That's what he likes. If you are, I don't see how he can follow up EVERY buffered roll unless that's all you ever go for?

Keep in mind that nair on shield isn't flawless. If it isn't late enough it's an easy shield grab. Like a nair that hits before the peak of his SH is shield grabbable I'm fairly sure.

Also you don't mention ever CCing? It sounds like fox nairs scare you so CCing is a good way to handle that. Ofc drill destroys CC but if they're throwing out nairs and you know they are then why fear the drill.

It's obvious but Sheik wins by knocking fox over and getting him off the stage. Fox is at his worst in those positions. Throws and ftilt are really good at putting him in that position.

sheik vs fox is by far the hardest match up for her... i cant tech chase fox at all he just recovers too fast... but @BO/\K is right getting fox out the stage is key and keeping a defensive approach as well as using you needles smart could end up winning the game... is hard to fight fox with shiek tho... most of the time i switch to my marth and just try to look for up grabs

I see silent swag using up air a lot after the dthrow. He seems to never get hit out of that either, and usually even connects with another aerial afterwards.
