I really need help on fighting kirby. I hardly get to vs any Kirby users. I always have trouble fighting the little gift from below. Its better If I ask people that actually use Kirby then reading it from other people that use the same characters like me.

kirbywizard was just something I thought of in the nintendo forums it just stuck to me. Thanks for the tips, I use a large amount of characters so Im guessing link may be good for this little demon.

You might want to reconsider trying that against a decent kirby.....

If all you're having trouble with is Kirby, use GameandWatch against him. I'm sure the person using Kirby won't be happy, but yeah, he's Kirbz hardest match up.

Lol Link gets utterly destroyed by kirbz. I say go with marth or g&w.

last time I checked the only ranged attack kirby has is his ^B correct, the slash is dodgeable but last Time I checked it can spike as well. Mabey a campy olimar will do the job

A campy Olimar could work, but 2 things.

1. If he takes your ability, it can seriously ruin your camping game since the Pikmins he throws do damage and knock back instead of doing DOT.
2. If he gets you off the stage, he will will **** you (assuming the Kirby isn't scared to get off the stage).

Olimar is good, but If all your gonna do is spam Pikmins and Smashes, pick game and watch instead. Hes much better against Kirby.

thank god good thing I main olimar. Once in smash boards was in a tourney fight kirby copied my ability and it was pikmin spam for most of the fight. Main problems is I love smashing people with olis smash ^ but kirbys down B I never see coming and thats what usually kills me

The fact that you thought Link would be a good pick says a lot. You really should learn a bit before asking others for help because almost any advice you'll get will be a ****ing waste.

People who beat Kirby's spacing and can camp are his main issues. Whores like MK, Snake, The gay prince, G&W, Zelda, etc. If you wanna piss off a Kirby main there's your trip to easy street. Assuming you can space him ATLEAST as well as a friggin hamster can. >______>

No, Marth is. Don't make me start a whole rant on why. It takes me 10 minutes just to say it all.

I guess it depends on playing styles because I find G&W waaaay more annoying than Marth.

A marth with good spacing is much much worse, since Kirby essentially has to mindgame Marth or wait for him to make mistakes to even get a hit in.

Yeah, I would say Marth is way harder, especially if you roll or spot dodge too much, then you'll get tipped more easily. A good spacing Marth is harder than a GnW.

Agreed with all the Marth comments. Marth is one of the few characters I would want to counterpick against. I can never beat a good Marth. Even this nooby Marth that did nothing but spam OOS Dolphin Slash...there's nothing I can do against that T_T

I only want to counterpick him with characters I like to play though....that means Ike or Toon Link are my best choices. TL actually isn't too bad against Marth. Ike is ok...but Marth can edgeguard him really easily. Captain Falcon.... >_>

And recently I've picked up Fox... the Fox boards has it as 40-60, Marth's advantage. I'll have to give it a try though and see how good Fox is against him. He has one thing Kirby desperately lacks in this matchup: a good projectile.


Characters I don't have a problem with that other Kirbys seem to: Game and Watch, ROB. Pizza cake.

Some people say Snake is a neutral matchup, but I call major bull on that one. I've said it many times; I outplay Snakes all the time, but they win because they
1. take forever to die because of their weight
2. can make ridiculous comebacks in % with a few tilts
3. uptilt, grenade combo breaker

Too lame @_@ I might try Fox against Snake too, it's supposedly an even matchup, and laser spam seems like an easy solution XD

I have trouble against MK, but counterpicking MK isn't really an option since he has no bad matchups, and I'm best with Kirby by far.
