Sure it looks terrible on the computer screen, but I think once we see it on the 3DS we'll like the fact that it's sparsely populated with big
I actually think it looks fine there, so I don't know if you're trying to prove my point or not.
Not trying to really prove anything with that, But your message made me wanna do that and it's actually making me shiver because i feel like i'm playing the game.I actually think it looks fine there, so I don't know if you're trying to prove my point or not.
I just hopped onto miiverse on my 3ds to do just that. I'm so ready, this is such a *********Not trying to really prove anything with that, But your message made me wanna do that and it's actually making me shiver because i feel like i'm playing the game.
Hang on. Where in my post did I say "I like this layout?" WHERE!? Seriously, you people need to get off your high horse with this assumption mindset because that just makes you look even more silly. Fine. Ok, let me reworded my post so people like you can understand what I'm saying:We're not really obligated to swing on of Sakurai's testicles with you.
The announcer was great in Melee, so much nostalgic fun. Never get tired of the sounds from melee. Just good stuff all around.I loved the Melee menu, actually. I especially loved the way the stage select screen and character select screen were laid out. It was far better than some formulaic "make it as square as possible" crap. Easy to read, easy to navigate, and the breaks every two lines on the stage select screen made it easy for your eyes to find exactly the stage you wanted. Overall it was pretty great.
Yeah they did the square thing in Brawl's CSS, but I can forgive it because they only used it once and not all over the place.
Criticisms of the design are fair.People complaining about the menu layout/colors.... how often can you say you honestly stare at it long enough to notice it? Seems like just going out of the way to nitpick the game now.
We're not really obligated to swing on of Sakurai's testicles with you.
They couldn't have picked an uglier combination of solid colors. This is a step back even for Windows 98.
You don't have to like something to come to its defense. So... you would still be swinging off his balls.Hang on. Where in my post did I say "I like this layout?" WHERE!
This picture made me feel colorblind.
Never underestimate a man with Photoshop and a lack of respect for basic color theory. This picture made me feel colorblind.
That nasty brown on the smash run
It looks the same. Just that English text looks boring compared to Japanese text.If you look at the japanese menu (the original one) you can see that it looks A LOT better than the english one.
Says the guy who spewing out homosexual jokes. I'm not swinging off his balls. I just don't think this complaint is really all that reasonable when there are bigger things to worry about. Besides, you're the one started the whole "I'm his bottom balls' boy" assumption that trying to sound hip or whatever, so you really need to watch your tongue. You don't have to like something to come to its defense. Also, some advice: Trying hard doesn't seem to be working out for you. I suggest relaxing a bit.
Now you're just straight making things up. That's not a homosexual joke. If you're a guy, that's coincidental - it's a metaphor for how you cling to something.Says the guy who spewing out homosexual jokes. I'm not swinging off his balls. I haven't played KI:U, but I have played Kirby Air Ride. I do agree with you that it's not lacking anything unique - it's clean, simple, and gets the job done. I feel like Brawl and Air Ride had some of the cleanest menus in terms of how space was used, colors, etc. but I rather enjoy the 3DS version. It's a bit tightly squished, but being the fact that they're using a 3DS screen for everything, they don't have much of an option without making the icons extremely small. I do, however, feel that they could have done it more similarly to Brawl and made it so the menu icons actually fit into eachother, rather than being an assortment of shapes. It does this to an extent on the 3DS version, but the way it's set up with icons such as Challenge and Online are a bit odd.I've never played Kirby's Air Ride of KI:U so I don't have any opinions on whether or not the menu is recycled or lacking anything unique. It looks nice, simple and colourful to me. I like it.
Just like how you're making up this whole "I'm on Sakurai's junk" claim. Maybe a metaphor, but a very childish one while you're at it.Now you're just straight making things up. That's not a homosexual joke. If you're a guy, that's coincidental - it's a metaphor for how you cling to something.
The menu is pretty ugly. It's a pretty safe area of criticism because it's the equivalent front page of the game. There will always be bigger things to complain about, but that doesn't invalidate the criticism of everything that isn't big. There are plenty of other threads for that. This isn't the "We complain only about big stuff!" subforum. You're free to make your own forum somewhere else for that, though. Maybe start a group?
Hmm, it looks like you're the one derailing the thread by belittling its significance. On the other hand, I've made some kind of relevant commentary about the/a menu in all of my posts here. Here you've made an entire post that's about what besides me? I think it's kind of fortunate that "me" happened. :]Just like how you're making up this whole "I'm on Sakurai's junk" claim. Maybe a metaphor, but a very childish one while you're at it.
And I'm not going to do all that since I'm not into making threads nor groups. I just like to discuss on said threads. Of course, you being disruptive to this thread (and many like it) with your trollish attitude and rude, childish remarks isn't helping the situation either. I don't care you love/hate it. That's on you. The point of the matter was the OP expressed an opinion and I just felt like commenting to it. And initially, I didn't even want to invalidate his opinion since I was partially agreeing with him (in fact, I still don't think I really did). But then "you" happened...
