Okay I'll admit, I laughed at the title.

I don't trust him...oh wait, that's me. I trust me.Playing dead move would be soo funny, even if it ends up being a gimmick attack only working on casuasl or people not aware of its existence.
Btw, there is an interesting topic on gamefaqs, talking about the most wanted characters in Japan, propably the key for making it into the Smash Roster.
Unfortunately it is hard to get an idea if you don't understand Japanese and go on their sites, we got few infos about.
But it seems K.Rool could be the N°1 most wanted, if not at least very popular.

Hope this feedback is true, I don't know if we can really trust Jeff_Mercer (from what I remember he made fake leak in the past ) I'd like to hear more about what japanese fans want.

Not lying here. K. Rool's support in Japan is MASSIVE. I also did that one joke leak after a couple of buds on here wanted me to lol
But yeah, make no joke about it, K. Rool's popularity is Japan is completely unmatched from what I saw.
This makes me hopeful.
Ridley may have gain Ground since he vergeben gained some creditbilityThat's good to hear, thx.
Ridley is talked about everywhere with E3 approaching, they must not forget our king
Technically, every character is competition for K. Rool because they all take resources to make. If, say, Crash gets in, there might not be enough time left for K. Rool. There's also the possibility of someone popular being picked while K. Rool remains unplayable because "Well, you got a popular char, wasn't that enough?" or something like that. How is Ridley competition for K. Rool? Other than being big, evil reptiles, they have nothing in common. They're not from the same franchise, and they wouldn't have similar movesets or anything either.
His long absence does hurt him, but there are others who have also been out for a while as well. I think his popularity is the biggest thing he has going for him. I know internet polls don’t mean squat, but pretty well every poll, including Japanese ones, put K. Rool at or near the top. Nintendo’s definitely seen his popularity, and I’m sure it took them by surprise. How do you guys generally feel about K. Rool's chances in Smash? Will his lack of major appearances in new DKC games prevent his inclusion? I have been thinking about it critically, and I feel his lack of recent significance has been the one and only obstacle preventing his inclusion. But, he has a number of pros that could potentially override that irrelevancy in the new DKC games. I would like to hear as many perspectives as possible.
If a character is big as K. Rool was relegated to an assist trophy, especially after the attention received in the smash 4 era, the unfortunate tendencies of the internet would lead to the verbal crucifixion of the developer team responsible. I'm sure that Nintendo isn't crazy enough to walk into such a PR nightmare, so I'd say that you nothing to worry about; it's either a character position or nothing for this croc.I am kind of worried. Even if our king is in the game, he could still get in as an Assist Trophy. What are the odds of that happening?
Better than no appearance at allI am kind of worried. Even if our king is in the game, he could still get in as an Assist Trophy. What are the odds of that happening?
Yes the Inklings got a mii costume but that's not why they are in the game. I mean by that logic Llyod is going to be in the next Smash.Inklings were made a playable character after being a mii costume, I believe K. Rool will be as well.
I'm fairly sure he isn't saying the Inklings got in *because* they had a Mii costume, just that it sets precedent that characters who had a Mii costume before became characters later. The Inklings obviously got in on all the other merits they had of course.Yes the Inklings got a mii costume but that's not why they are in the game. Well I was more saying the mii costume itself isn't a good indicator that K Rool will be playableI'm fairly sure he isn't saying the Inklings got in *because* they had a Mii costume, just that it sets precedent that characters who had a Mii costume before became characters later. No, you’re right, though at the very least, it shows he’s on Sakurai’s radar, and is frankly more K. Rool content than we’ve gotten in a decade, which as a rabid K. Rool fan I’m happy to eat up. He even used the RARE design for it, and honestly went above and beyond, which gives a good indicator that a playable K. Rool would be just as meticulously designed.Well I was more saying the mii costume itself isn't a good indicator that K Rool will be playable
Unfortunately some people get very touchy and take things too seriously/literally and can't be reasonable whatsoever. Lots of neurotic posters in those parts from my experiences. We had the unfortunate pleasure of a few said people stinking this thread up some 15 odd pages back but thankfully those examples are few and far between and for the most part, people aren't hostile. It is the interwebz and all though! It's time like these that remind me of why I almost exclusively only post here.... geez man you try to tell people to keep their expectations in check and have a civil discussion and you get insulted..... the general board is too much... sorry for the small rant.
The Mii costume in my opinion is a boon to Rools chances
I don't know why, but this track is really good, and it makes me confident that my Kremlin King is in fine condition, and has a brighter future ahead of him, for some reason. I guess that's very good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0No1WPXWEis
Hey guys, it's lookin' a little dead in here. Maybe some late night David Wise covers are what you need.
Just discovered this wonderful YouTube channel, he nails pretty much every David Wise cover he attempts. Perfect music to prime ourselves for the reveal of the King.
Just what I needed right now, so relaxing. I'm stressing over revising for exams.I don't know why, but this track is really good, and it makes me confident that my Kremlin King is in fine condition, and has a brighter future ahead of him, for some reason. I guess that's very good.
K.Rool: "Hey! Hey Bowser, so good to see you, or anyone at all again, been really dark where I've been."Here's something that I composed with MMD, just to hold us over for a bit...
Will this match-up come to pass?
To me it all depends on the art style. If this was Melee or Brawl I'd say that model used above would work really well. However I feel personally if Smash Switch uses the same art style of Wii U with the more cartoonish asthetics I say use a modern paon inspired design (just give K.Rool a tail). Granted I'd be happy as long as he is in the game as a playable character regardless.Trying to keep calm and cool but its only a few days to E3 now and we at least find out some information for Smash. Hoping that includes a reveal for K. Rool but we'll see.
Saw this over on GamFAQs, I've never seen this render someone has done that I can remember :

I was always of the belief that a Paon version of K. Rool would be better but this has me questioning if a Rare version would actually fit quiet well now.
