Killa Fleet Present: "Dream Land" April 6th, 7PM to 7AM!!!

only about 25 ppl came cuz of the changed hours and we couldnt do any of the mini tourny's. W2Z tried to gay us so we just made it free entrance for everyone that showed up. i kno it wasnt enuff but we'll surely make it up to ya.

Ace...you got some of the story incorrect...since I am in KF and I work for w2z I will explain.
w2z itself DID NOT GAY US.
What happened was I made a deal with w2z that during lansomnia events I wanna throw STD's for extremely cheap (normally it would cost 30-35 bucks). Since a lot of players for counterstrike come to lansomnia for PC ( appox. 30-40 ) the Prices would offset each other and make it ok to run events there.
Now I come into work the day of and find out lansomnia was canceled a few days ago. When ALL of the night time w2z staff had found out we were upset. As the event coordinator I was not notified ( if I was this WOULDN'T have happened) as well as the night time manager who canceled his plans for the day to help out if needed. Once we found out we knew that the smash event was in trouble.
Thankfully the person responsible was immediately "taken care of". Those who I told about it know but I have been instructed to only say that.
We knew we could not hold the SSBM STD on its on cause they w2z would lose money. WE ALSO knew that this was an event we were looking forward to for the smash and pc community ( since many counterstrike players play ssbm...and actually respect it as a competitive game) to be together.
IT WAS MY NIGHT TIME MANAGER who pulled me to the side and said " alex, the ssbm community has supported us thick and thin and for that I think we should let them in free this one time." The night time manager knows many of you and has been helping me since day 1 doing things with ssbm. If anything W2Z staff helped us out but letting everyone come and stay for free this time around. One guys stupidity should not represent what I , KF , or W2Z are about. Since I took over the events W2Z has been extremely satisfied with all gaming and that includes ssbm. They love it and are going to back us 110% when brawl comes out with things you would not believe.
Afterwards some of us went to my place and had our own little STD.
That is what happened. I wanted everyone to know that I love you guys more then anyone and that everyone will make it up to u next month ( these will be monthly events ). Since I am gonna head up the project I will make sure this happens again.

1. Thankz Alex for clearing up that situation because i spent like $40.00 to get there in cab only to find it's been cancelled. But i respect that explanation much more than just "oops" .. LoLz
2. I think K-fox is right. Bi-monthly is definately better because you're almost guaranteed to get better turn outs. It gives you something to look forward to. However, i do think that you should try to schedule the next one ASAP since this once didn't happen.
3. I'm not sure if anyone's done this yet, but GOOD S*** to Killer Fleet for makin these happen. I definitely see my friends and myself getting better because of all the practice.
By the way, i was really lookin forward to those random crew battles seein as how i've never done them before ..LoLz, anyway we can make that happen next week??
An the last question of this big a** post, April 6th would normally have been the Doubles tournament bi weekly, so will that be move to April 13th, or will that be singles??

and also, april 13th is gonna be teams because it just skipped it this week vanz. but its true, i remember the first weekly, i fought u and i ***** u, now ur way better, along with alot of other ppl. lets keep these alive.
dreamlands will be bi-monthly, meaning every 2 months.
we'll keep everyone updated on wether or not we can have one at the end of this month because the only time we can do these are during the stores' "lansomnia" event which lets them have the store till 9 am. but ill call alex and find out for ya. hopefully by today.

the points are basically votes from the panelist. if a panelist votes for u to be in 1st place then u get 10 points and second gets 9 points and so on. just go to tournys and place well consistently and beat ranked players consistently and u will be voted for.
