Smash Ace
Which game series is best represented as a whole in brawl? I'm interested in the answer to that question so I made a ladder to test it. Outside of items and songs, a series' representation is determined by 3 things: the amount of stages, the amount of/popularity of characters, and how good the characters are and the people who use them. This ladder is going to test all 3 of those, as well as rank participants based on performance, to group them into a double elimination tournament for (hopefully) prizes! Heres how its going to work...
Format
This ladder begins now. There is no sign up required, and you CANNOT BE ELIMINATED (good for meh ). Basically you find an opponent, and each pick a character to play for that whole set. Afterwards you report who won, and a point will be added to the character who won, and the player who won. Each game series has a point total which consists of the total points of all the characters in its series. So for example if Player A uses Sheik and beats Player B who uses Falco (doesn't matter), then Player A gets a point, along with Sheik, which also adds a point to the Legend of Zelda series. All of this will be used to create a 16 or 32 person double elimination tournament, taking the top 16 or 32 people on the player ladder. Details for the tournament have not yet been decided, and it will be quite a while before it actually happens.

Stages
The stages allowed in this ladder are different from most tournaments, in that they are techically all playable, coinidentally besides Hannenbow (). The more stages a series has in brawl, the more they are represented in that aspect. Because of this, it is a stregth to a series in this ladder if that series has multiple stages, because you have more counter-picks to choose from. When counter-picking a stage, YOU MUST CHOOSE A STAGE, AND ANY STAGE THAT IS FROM THE SAME SERIES AS YOUR CHARACTER. However the first match will be played on a neutral starter stage. Here is the breakdown...
