If it were true they would probably not respond to tweets asking them about the issue in the first place.

Stop complainning and accept the title! No, I know no more than anybody else - I'm just sharing views formed by looking at what we do know, and applying Occam's Razor, as alluded to in in the post that you quoted.
Let's be more discreet, Swamp.Yeah... the moment things get hazy is the moment you guys become militants and unlikable.
I'd leave but I'm more worried about what you guys would do without guidance.
They've been responding to a ton of SK in smash stuff, requests, questions and fanart. If they had gone silent on the matter that would look suspicious. Again, they've done this type of thing before. If it were true they would probably not respond to tweets asking them about the issue in the first place.
We don't need guidance, we need a voice! Ive been a Nintendo fan since the NES days and this is such a sad move if Nintendo is willing to throw away 3 1/2 decades of gaming history for a one year old indie game that sold less than even Xenoblade did in the states.Yeah... the moment things get hazy is the moment you guys become militants and unlikable.
I'd leave but I'm more worried about what you guys would do without guidance.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of us are just having a civil chat about it. Honestly, I'm actually just having some fun because it's generating some genuinely interesting discussion (thanks, @ Captain Fun ).Let's be more discreet, Swamp.
A rotten grape shouldn't spoil the entire bunch.
Is anyone going to answer my question here? So, about the PAX event, if there is something DLC related at the event, I must ask: has any DLC for any game been announced at PAX before?
C'mon now, we aren't that bad.Yeah... the moment things get hazy is the moment you guys become militants and unlikable.

I think you're confused. The twitter post deconfirmed the SK amiibo rumor last week....not the rumor that came out today. Tamaki said the amiibo rumor has nothing to do with his informationStop complainning and accept the title!
You did post a twitter post that pretty much deconfirm the thing, that's what I meant.
If D-idara were here, he would put a flamethrower to shame. I agree that his negativity isn't needed here, but being the next D-idara is a tough job.@ S Senselessbreak , the rumour isn't even confirmed.
Please calm down before you end up becoming the next D-idara.
I know, dear, but I need something hyperbolic to get my point well and truly across. ;3If D-idara were here, he would put a flamethrower to shame. I agree that his negativity isn't needed here, but being the next D-idara is a tough job.
Who's D-idara?If D-idara were here, he would put a flamethrower to shame. I agree that his negativity isn't needed here, but being the next D-idara is a tough job.
I think the thing here is the question of judgement on SK's choice. Time and time again we have researched to show characters like K Rool and Isaac have the largest amount of support. We knew this wasn't an election, but at the same time, the fact we get to cast a vote shows that there would be a clear "winner." If theres one thing for certain here, SK did not win the ballot. His popularity is nearly exclusive to the West, and even here hes still not in the top 5.C'mon now, we aren't that bad.
The atmosphere here isn't inviting right now but that is to be expected at a time like this. You can't us to be exactly gleeful now, can you?
No its not confirmed, but something tells me it will be. And if it is that won't change any of our feelings towards the issue.@ S Senselessbreak , the rumour isn't even confirmed.

If the rumor was true, wouldn't he be a lock for Smash?pierre riverin @pierre11167 Aug 22
@YachtClubGames @kalmarc3 That What You Sayed When There Was A Retail Copy Of Shovel Knight ... Sooo... Are You Lying To Us Again ?
Yacht Club Games @YachtClubGames Aug 22
@pierre11167@kalmarc3 If SK was a lock for Smash, then I'd just step away from Twitter in fear of glee posting about it everyday
A user who went off the rails and was perma-banned when Ridley was disconfirmed.Who's D-idara?
Their point is you should stow this negativity until he is actually revealed. At this point, it is only a rumour.I think the thing here is the question of judgement on SK's choice. Certainly democracy did not work in this case, and thats just not going to leave a good taste in fans' mouths.
No, but that doesn't mean they can't do it this time. They announced Robin and Lucina right in the middle of Summer last year with no Direct or anything, so there's always a first for everything. So, about the PAX event, if there is something DLC related at the event, I must ask: has any DLC for any game been announced at PAX before?

A "renowned" leaker claims he has good reason to believe Shovel Knight will be the next Smash DLC character, whom he speculates will be revealed at PAX this weekend. So what's the late 411 on k. rool / 5 pages in one day in this thread? Too may replies and quotes for me to put it together...
Rather unlikely. Shovel Knight was never highly requested for Smash until after the ballot. K. Rool would be a possibility as a pre-ballot, but not Shovel Knight.Hell, even if it's totally valid, we don't know if Shovel Knight is a selection based on the ballot, or that he's the only (non-Wolf) DLC character in the works.
It could very easily turn out to be another Ryu.
This exactly. There's rumors, but there's far more things AGAINST Shovel Knight's inclusion than for it. Especially since, in all honesty, Shovel Knight's basic moves are perfectly fine just as a Mii Fighter costume that trades a sword for a shovel. Like Inklings and Black Knight, he'd look perfectly fine as a Mii Fighter costume. The thing is, we don't know if the Nintendolife rumor is actually true. That discussion seems like it is jumping the gun. Right now, the Shovel Knight rumor is more real in people's imaginations than it is in reality. There really is no evidence to suggest that he is coming, besides the leaker's mixed credibility. There are also powerful reasons to doubt the character's inclusion based on the relative obscurity of his game, his recency, and his virtual non-presence in Japan. These facts seem especially dire for third party characters.
A "renowned" leaker with a mixed history, many inaccuracies in past statements. Some valid, some blatantly wrong.A "renowned" leaker claims he has good reason to believe Shovel Knight will be the next Smash DLC character, whom he speculates will be revealed at PAX this weekend.
The people here aren't really digging the rumour, let's just say.So what's the late 411 on k. rool / 5 pages in one day in this thread? Too may replies and quotes for me to put it together...
Neither was Ryu.Rather unlikely. Shovel Knight was never highly requested for Smash until after the ballot. K. Rool would be a possibility as a pre-ballot, but not Shovel Knight.

This is the thing, we can't let this get to us though. If the thought of this frustrates us, just imagine how this will be if hes confirmed.Their point is you should stow this negativity until he is actually revealed. At this point, it is only a rumour.
*Two hugs*What makes this is so frustrating is that K. Rool fans like myself have been facing an uphill battle for years. He wasn't in Jungle Beat, he wasn't in Country Returns, he wasn't in Tropical Freeze, and he wasn't in the Smash 4 base roster despite being a highly requested character worldwide. Fast forward a few months and Nintendo announces the Smash Ballot, K. Rool dominates every exit poll, people act like he's a "shoe-in" despite the character's long absence, and then Nintendo reveals a Mii costume that resembles the gutted carcass of our beloved king. Now this is happening. No, the Mii costume doesn't necessarily deconfirm the character, but you have to understand why this is such an emotional subject for some people. Contrary to what NeoGAF thinks, this isn't some recent bandwagon. How can you possibly expect people to stay optimistic after we've been burned so many times? I already suffer from extreme anxiety, and this... uncertainty is going to drive me insane, much like the king himself. I could use a hug or two.
People are actually more upset about what Shovel Knight's inclusion would imply about the ballot. If it could be proven that him getting in wouldn't impact K. Rool, the thread would be tamer.Am I the only one here who does not mind Shovel Knight in Sm4sh? Sure, I'd love to have K. Rool above everyone else, but come on, it's Shovel Knight! It's the late, love letter game to the NES era and being a one hit wonder hasn
t stopped the ice climbers or duck hunt from joining.
Sure, Shovel Knight isn't made by Nintendo, but he incorporates more of Old-school Gaming than any other indie character (that was'nt around in the past like shantae).
I'd dig it if the rumors were true.
Look at the positives. What makes this is so frustrating is that K. Rool fans like myself have been facing an uphill battle for years. He wasn't in Jungle Beat, he wasn't in Country Returns, he wasn't in Tropical Freeze, and he wasn't in the Smash 4 base roster despite being a highly requested character worldwide. I can totally understand the keruffle that's going on, but here is the thing:People are actually more upset about what Shovel Knight's inclusion would imply about the ballot. If it could be proven that him getting in wouldn't impact K. Rool, the thread would be tamer.
I don't think most here legitimately hate Shovel Knight.
