When ever I get knocked off the stage I always shot a laser or two towards the stage because you still keep your momentum so there really isn't any reason not to shot them. As long as you're not getting chased off the screen or getting fired on your self it's a decent idea to shot some lasers back at the stage. It's useful when you're opponent is charging up an attack or trying to get set up for your return. Also I was wondering can I double jump, laser, into a phantasma.

It just makes sense to use them. When you get knocked high and in the corner there is really no reason not to fire a laser or two as long as your opponent is just waiting for you. I also try to fire one just as i'm going below the stage so the laser is really low to the ground. I really can't find a reason not to fire a laser when it doesn't effect momentum at all and my opponent is just waiting on the stage. It's like hitting some one during the grab, might as well due it to get some extra damage here and there.

Well if you are that far away cool down time really isn't an issue and when you're opponent is just sitting there it doesn't really matter. I always use it to stop DK, Lucario, Samus and ROB from charging up there moves. It's just something to think about when you're making your way back and your opponent is just sitting there.

The best use i can think of for this is when a character without multiple DJ's is following you off the edge to edgeguard you and are planning on Bair like DK for example, kickass Bair, not so good Fair. The lasers would turn them towards you and effectively weaken their edgeguarding game. Unfortunately this will not work against D3's like 5 DJ's.

I do this too, but only when far away from the ledge. Against a character that can reflect, it's a horrible idea and could probably kill you depending on how far away you are.

Not to be a jerk, I just thought you should know there are two 'o's in shoot.

No, I don't even know how to SHDL :p, I use lasers for mindgames, and when I'm defensive/campy playstyle.

You should probably learn the SHDL if you use Falco at all, secondary, tertiary, quarternary, if you ever random Falco you need to be able to SHDL.
It's not hard, SH wait til you near the apex, tap B twice, buffer a dash when you land, rinse, repeat.

I usually always do this if i still have my second jump, why not?
it usually catches them by surprise, although it might get predictable
if you keep doiing it

A rising laser into phantasm is quite useful for stunning them so that your phantasm can't be punished - that's of course if you choose not to sweetspot.

you put the gun away much too slowly for the hitstun from the laser to protect your phantasm. I'm sure some people will not be expecting it and it may mess them up in punishing you but it definitely does not give a full window of opportunity for phantasm.
Like i said before, it is most useful in turning unexpecting opponents around who were trying to Bair you.
