Just moved to Monterey, California

Hey Cali I just moved from Texas to Monterey and I need some Melee in my life. I have no contacts so getting some Smash in is impossible right now. I moved from San Antonio. My Smash friends there were Caveman, Fork girl, Smiles, Xelic, SOS, Flex, and Essence.

I think its strait up the 5 freeway, about 40 minutes south of Hayward.

I'm not sure if there are smashers in Monterey (I think Inks was there for a while but moved?) but there is a burgeoning smash scene in nearby Salinas.

wow. My grandma lived in Monterey and my aunt lives in Hayward. I could of sworn the drive between their houses was no more than an hour......

I'm not sure if they will move you out there during his training. They may not pay for you to be moved until his first duty station. If you stay where you are you will receive BAH (housing allowance) for the zip code you are living in. BAH is based on your husband's pay grade and location. ASK the recruiter whether or not you will be moved to Monterey.

I too just recently moved to the area, however I am picking up melee after 3 years of inactivity, barely bought a new memcard and getting everything unlocked... Anyways, looking for melee buddies if you guys still play.

Edit: Forgot how boring it is to unlock everything, much more easy to just restore game saved i just dled from gamefaqs, now i have everything again :D

Matt has gone to Irvine for college; I'm one of the guys he played with. We still usually get together on Fridays or the weekend to play in Salinas. It's not my house we play at, but the guy who hosts is usually okay with new guys as long as he knows they're coming.
