Smash Ace
I am referring to the bickering that the boards have been overrun with lately. This is a place for exchanging ideals, testing them, reporting the results, and generally helping each other out.
To do this, there are a few things that we need to learn.
1. Pride-- Everyone is good to an extent, but no one is perfect. We all have room to improve and mature as players and as people. If you think you are the best, you aren't. Ever notice how the best Marth players rarely post on here? And they certainly never boast about how good they are.
2. Don't expect people to worship you for discovering something. In fact, odds are that you didn't even discover it.
3. Don't do things to accomplish your own agenda unless your agenda is to become a better player and help others to become better players. Knowledge should never be found or collected to earn respect and authority.
4. Don't ask for help if you expect people to applaud you(i've been guilty of this). When someone completely trashes your playing just try to take what you can out of the flaming, and for crying out loud, don't flame back!
5. IDC how good or knowledgeable anyone thinks they are, NO ONE has the right to trash another player and especially not another human being. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." That's right, I said it.
6. No one needs permission to post on these boards and be listened to. IDC if they joined in January of 02' or in July of 08', every player deserves to be respected and every opinion has a place.
Once again, Marthboard is not a club. It's a COMMUNITY.
