Nope, it's just like Brawl Low Tiers, pointless and only the LT mains care about it
Its different for pokemon since people dont really main pokemon so its not like you have to change how you play, just have to learn the metagame.

I'm pretty sure I can make this.

Oh, and PLEASE do OU for Pokemon! I've been taught a lot by Master P4 himself, so I think I'm ready to test out my SLAVES in a REAL Tournament. I'm honestly not going to enter if it's UU :(

UU?! Who plays that ****ty tier?

Lol I won't be coming anymore, UU ain't my thing
OU is too easy to play. Too much relying on your Pokemon to win for you.

Also...

@JUJ: I was down for that BL/UU/NU Pokemon tourney, but it doesn't look like everyone else agrees for it. Put a poll on this ***** and see what the public wants.

And learning a whole new metagame is essentially changing how you play >_>

OU is not really that easy to play, it's all about reads. Basically any tier can be "easy to play" if you know it.

From the last three P4 posts, all I can see is fear.
Fear of a tasty defeat.

OK unnoficial poll on the tier for Pokemon looks like this-

OU:
P-4
Trella
Nike
Slush

UU:
Magik
Nike
Espy
Maan
Boss

I will txt the rest of San antonio players but either way I will be hosting a UU tourny before the next gen comes out. I want to do one because it is intereesting to play something differe t before the metagame blows up:)

Lol yeah, I do not play LT, why would I care to drive 3 hours for a tourney I might not win or make money in?

It's like Gnes driving to SA for LT exclusive tourney, not that he'd do bad it's just not his forte.

You guys do what you want, I'm just saying now, if it's UU I have zero incentive to come, therefor I won't.

No you are using what you learn in ou and applying it to UU
sure there is a small change and if you want to get technical and say any change is compeltely different from the way you would normally play i guess thats cool too.
You also seem to be implying that there is in fact skill in pokemon. There is none, just glorified guesswork. "skill" in pokemon is simply how much you know about the game.

how about instead of being a competitive *******, do it for fun. you're obviously not as glorified as i've heard if you can only win OU.

For the fun, perhaps?
Jesus man. I'm glad no one in San Antonio has this mentality.

What if we do both!?

Brawl Singles/Doubles + Pokemon OU/UU.

BRING IT!
Terrible idea.
Steakfest was held back almost 2 hours because of a single Pokemon match.
This would end up being a 10+ hour tournament event if we ran TWO Pokemon events alongside TWO Brawl events.

******** logic, if there's zero skill in a game then why even play? You can win on sheer luck sometimes which I agree takes no skill, but 90% of the time it's about skill through how you've prepared your team, the reads you make (not "glorified guessing"), and how you set things up.

It's like Chess in a sense, just with a little luck sprinkled here and there.

Two Pokemon events would take WAY too long

Again, horrible logic. That's like expecting M2K to win every LT event he plays in

Having stall wars with a Skarm/Bliss for 45 minutes without a shot at some money isn't really my definition of "fun"

**** Girl, spittin that hot fire!!

@P4- from our set and watching your battles I am sure you can cook up a legit UU team if we
were to do it. Every one will have to make/tweek a team for this , and with your knowledge of the game Im sure you would be fine in either tier list.

Maybe because i find it fun? The game is in fact guesswork, there is no feedback until you have made you move, you are 100% guessing on your move because like i said there is no feedback. Its not like chess at all because players take turns with their moves and the players feedback is the previous turn.
Example
Opponent has dragonite and a revealed scizor
you have out damage azelf with ice beam and fireblast
do you ice beam or fireblast?
you have no idea its 100% guesswork, reading isnt a science.
Of course i would ice beam in that situation most of the time, since it will still boil down to a 50/50 guesswork against the scizor, but liek i said thats just knowledge of the game i wouldnt consider that "skill"

Juj, I honestly am not worried about UU, and 3 weeks time would be plenty for me to learn the meta-game. I just don't have much fun playing UU is all :ohwell:

First you say that you need to learn the meta-game, which implies that you don't play UU that often (otherwise, you'd be aware of the meta-game).

Then you say that you don't have fun playing UU.

How do you know you don't have fun playing UU if you haven't even played it enough to know the meta-game? It'd be like if I had played Brawl for the first time in my life, then just said "I don't like low tier because it's not fun", despite the lack of experience.

Whatever though.
You juss' scared. ;p

Seriously, if you're not coming to this because you dislike UU, then don't come. You're only looking like an *** by complaining about a Pokemon tournament. The tournament will most likely not be changed in your favor because you whine enough.

Get over it.

I've played UU enough to know I don't like it, and I have a basic knowledge of it, so when I say "I need to learn the Meta-game" I mean I would want to get to a point of knowing it like I know OU.

UU is something you have to acquire a taste for, and I haven't acquired one for it. Simple as that.

And LOL at Espy saying SA is so nice and chill, you guys are acting so hostile and butthurt because I simply said I wasn't coming because it was UU. I was just making a statement then everyone blew it up.

I never attacked anyone, just a Pokemon tier and people wanna hang me for it. So much for SA being chill :(
