So i have been playing my friend schoolie dee's jiggs for a long time. He's definitely a more experienced player than i am and right when i started figuring out the match up and not getting 2 stocked every time he realized that he could nair under my grabs. I find that now i have a really hard time approaching him. It seems like he'll keep his bairs going and then quickly move in with nairs sometimes. I guess what im really asking is how does one approach jiggs that keeps dodging grabs and outprioritizing nairs. Uairs work and sometimes i get grabs but i was hoping for somebody to possibly give me any sort of advice.

hahah so to sum up i should DD and mindgame...or pick marth. O well ill have to find a way around it! Randomly throwing in up/down tilts works sometimes if i can call him on it but like most ppl said, it all comes down to the mindgame aka the main skill needed to play smash.

forward b when jiggly puff lands with an aerial at low percents, or time stomps/knees.

Um just want to add to be careful with your down throw to knees. They work if he DI's in front of you, but if he DI's up, or too far in front......(well maybe the jiggs you face doesn't know this) he has JUST enough time to spam down b and you will get rested even before your knee hits. (assuming you follow-up right away, which is what you would have to do or else he'd land or jump away).

The jiggs I face knows this trick, but I've learned to watch his DI and fake an approach after dthrow. He then rests & misses, I taunt, and Falcon Punch him to oblivion. >.<

Does down throw > knee combo jiggs at 0 if you get out of the grab and time your jump/knee correctly?

Don't try Dthrow knee under 40%. You will get rested.

Don't pick Marth and spam Fsmash. You will get rested.

Don't miss an L-cancel. You will get rested.

Do stick with Falcon, spam Nair, DD grab, and Dthrow Uairs until like 50%. Then you can Dthrow Knee. If you ever feel like the knee won't reach at mid percents, just tech chase with another throw or a knee.

Raptor boosts don't work. Especially if you raptor boost a Jigg's Shield, you will get rested.

Don't edge guard off the stage. You can't edge guard a Jiggs, you KNOCK OUT a jiggs.

Punish missed pounds with grab combos, JC'ed upsmash, or pivot Fsmash if you're good.

If you can bait them to rest from your Dthrow, then the stock is yours.

If jiggs is spamming full jump back airs you can short hop a nair and hit the puff at the top of their jump after the hit box for the back air is gone.

down throw neutral airs work < 40% though, right?

also, I think falcons back air is really good in this match up.

Wow, great advice guys. It's almost a complete guide to countering jigglypuff... with the exception of her beautiful nair :)

Along with the other advice mentioned I often find run-by stomps work. If hes approaching too high (just approaching will full hop and not Sh) you can upsmash and it will catch him off guard. Keep in mind thats just me and the dude I play.
