Besides, you can barely see them. I can't believe someone took the time to squint their eyes and look around the background and actually think to himself 'Hey, that looks like Jigglypuff!!! Deconfirmed!!!'

It's very similar to that 'villians in the cloud' theory a couple months back with the very first Subspace Emissary update.

MMM It really looks like Ji9gs, but there'se only one way to know if jiggs is deconfirmed. We have to look at the crowd that were in Melee. If jiggs wasin the crowd in Melee then the actual picture doesn't mean anything.

You're right it doesn't deconfirmed it but the picture can be a sign of deconfirmation. Birdo was in the background of Melee and look what happend to her. Dedede also was in the background of kirby stage and he wasn't in the rooster of SSB. It matters if jiggs was in the background because it reduces the possibilites.

I'm pretty sure it's Jigglypuff back there. The second circled one looks more like a Mankey with his hands >_>,. Some people see them, some see them as dots. We won't fully know until it comes out and we examine the trophy.

The problem here is that we both extremes: people seeing what isn't there and people with computers with resolutions that are too low for them to make out the images that ARE there. Here's what I see, and it's there: Jigglypuffs, Jigglypuffs wearing red hats (Mario hats? PT hats? I can't make out the symbol on the fron, but it's a white symbol), and Jigglypuffs wearing black hats (gotta be either tophats or pirate hats and I'm going for tophats). That leaves only a few other colors (red, pink and black accounted for already).

I see yellow. Gotta be pikachu. The only problem is that they seem horizontally long, like he's laying down. I see white. Honestly, the shape and other colors near the top look like Meowth to me. I'm very unsure of this. Finally, I see a LOT of blue. Pikachu-sized with white at the top, not Lucario. Does anyone know pokemon well enough to figure out who it might be?

And please people, stop saying it's random dots. Find a monitor with high resolution, look at the picture on page 1 on this thread, and you'll definitely be able to make out the Jigglypuffs. They're there. The Pikachus are there. Meowth, I'm not sure, and there's that blue guy too... Could always be squirtle I guess...

If you look TOO close all you'll see is dots, those are called pixels. Geez. Don't look at the zoomed in version, you can still see it.

In the Very First Screen shot, you can see that the characters
in the back are Pokemon....but whats this?

If you look Closely you can see a bunch of Perfectly round Pink puffballs that has huge Green eyes...

Jiggly De-Comfirmed? Maybe...Maybe Not, but there ARE plenty of Jigglypuffs in the World of Pokemon.

I'll make one last attempt at convincing people and then I give up. In the picture on the left (the normal version), the stairs and stadium walls on the right half have a lot of detail, there's even shadows in the corners and stuff. That's even farther away than the grandstands, yet it has obvious detail. I'd expect the rest of the background to have the same detail (the left side). Now, in the bottom-left of the left picture look JUST to the upper-right of the very first yellow blur (a pikachu, I'd bet $50 on it). In that spot is a Jigglypuff wearing a red hat. Pink circle, two greenish ovals near the top, a hot pink dot at the bottom (mouth) and a red hat. Then look at the zoomed in version and you should be able to make it out.

I guess I don't really care anymore if people see it or not, because if people do see it all they'll do is argue over what it "means." It really doesn't have to mean anything, though it could. I really doubt it would deconfirm anything, and to ME (and to ME ONLY) it confirms Meowth. I see him, the more I look the more of him I make out (3 so far).

This guys smart. If this was as "confirmed" as you say it is, then every one of those characters he listed and more are confirmed for brawl also...

Something tells me they're not. I am ok with Jigglypuff being back however.

Well, you're blind, then. However, looking at them closer they look like small people if anything. They remind of the small people-things in the MSN logo (having a ball-head and a roundish body).

Edit: Okay, so I tripled the size of it in photoshop myself, I was wrong, there is indeed a bunch of shapes of Pokemon, but I don't think they're actual Pokemon. They appear to be balloons that cover a lot of the smaller audience. You can also see a few pokeballs and regular color shapes of balloons. So they aren't Pokemon, just balloons.

Drowsee and jiggly and even meowth and voltorb. Wailmers and others can be seen too. But what it means nothing. They are just low res gifs made by the developers to camoflouge the background and make it look a cheering crowd. What it means? Nothing besides the fact that a majority of smash boarders are stupid.

They probably picked jiggly as a gif because she's easy to make, is a pokemon, and with conseption pics already made of her they could get that part of the background faster.

Yeah, that sounds about right to me...glad someone had enough common sense to point this out...what amazes me, though, is that people think this may confirm/deconfirm characters...which it won't...
