Do you ever think as far as games go we'll ever get these? I know we'll get the Celebi later on in TRU or some crap, but what about the dogs? I have a feeling we'll get left out.

And in shoddy, since you can now use those moves, I can only assume it means Raikou and Entei will shoot up, huh? And what of Celebi? That seems pretty pwnage.

Also in shoddy, if you use those moves, do you have to use the Serious nature that comes with it? If it is 100% Serious, then does that setup have to be Serious in shoddy? Just wondering.


Actually, this brings up a good question. I like to play wifi for fun, but do I follow Smogon's tier list? If Raikou goes to OU because of a move I can get, and Entei moves up due to a move I can again not get, does that mean I should re-do my UU team with Raikou in it? Hardly seems fair, lol.

I'm thinking Raikou will get a lot of usage particularly in rain.

Aura Sphere
Calm Mind/Rain Dance

Stab Thunder, rain-boosted 100 BP weather ball, aura sphere to deal with tyranitar. Sounds legit to me.

Since you get the "incompatible IVs" error in Shoddy, I assume you would get an incompatible nature error.

I really hope it's not stuck with a serious nature. Giving them set natures is stupid but at the very least Celebi shouldn't get one. Raikou would love Aura Sphere and NP Celebi would be awesome. Outside of that I don't see anything else good.

Entei will always be outclassed, since Arcanine has a reliable recovery move in the form of Morning Sun. Entei has Stone Edge, and Pressure is semi-useful, but compared to Arcanine's Flash Fire / Intimidate it doesn't really have any hope.

Raikou will happily hop over to OU or at least BL now. Aura Sphere will severely dent Registeel after Calm Mind, so I expect to see it gone soon.

And I think you either meant Raikou not going BL or UU teams not being fun with Raikou present, since if you read your post now it sounds a bit contradictory.

No they can't. BL is a ban tier for UU, like how ubers is a ban tier for OU.

Anyway, I don't see NP Celetran working. Something faster like Starmie, Tentacruel, or others will still be able to outspeed and KO it. Scarftran can still OHKO with EQ also, while Focus Blast from Gengar still does a bunch. All you have to do is sac one Pokemon to it.

Instead, you'd want to think about passing to something faster, such as Starmie. +2 Starmie anyone?

That's so lame. v_v guess I need to revamp my UU Envy team, I has Raikou in it... and it's wifi, which means Aurasphere Raikou won't be used much at all on wifi...

-_- What sucks more is I got lucky getting a shiny modest one with 3 31's in Hp / Satt / Speed.

It would take a bit of tailoring, but imagine the possibility of a subsalactran. You couldn't obviously just make it work completely dry, but I still think that the potential of an NP pass vs. a lot of threats that celebi lures out would give heatran the opportunity to set up the sub and then sweep from there.

Actually, a really nice receiver would be a speed boost yanmega.

Tinted Lens already tears through everything, so I don't doubt that Nasty Plot passing would make anythign easier for it.

The real problem with yanmega is its speed. Tinted lens would give it the problem of being outsped by a lot of things, whereas with speed boost+protect you can give yourself enough turns to get speed and deal with things that way. Luring scizor is a must, but yanmega can outspeed traditionally the fastest revengers like scarfed latias at +2, which is easy if latias comes in on turn 1 and you protect on turn 2, then ohko with +2 LO bug buzz.

I dont understand why people are so hyped up on Nasty Plot passing. It's currently possible in the metagame we have NOW, it doesnt however change the fact that at +2, everything still loses to Blissey.

Togekiss isn't an ideal Nasty Plot passer. Specially bulky, but physically lacking.

Raikou with aura sphere means it's almost guaranteed to go to BL if the natures for the pokemon aren't set. Also Entei is pretty much arcanine but better. This is awesome.
